Great questions, First Ill start with the LPR, I started with the gun aired up. I then backed out counter clockwise the LPR cap screw untill the gun will not fully cycle, for my gun that was aprox. 7 turns 1/4 at a time out past the LPR cap.
Then I backed down the pressure on the HPR untill the gun began to leak.

Then I turned the HPR up just untill the leak went away and the gun would somewhat cycle. I then started shooting the gun one ball at a time while increasing the HPR pressure in small increments.

The marker got up to the 280's but would not go any higher no matter how far I went on the HPR. At one point it actually started dropping off. So I came back a 1/4 turn and left it alone. Then I went to the LPR and started adjusting it clockwise 1/4 of a turn at a time untill I was able to achieve the velocity I wanted. I made a total of 13 turns which put me at aprox. 1 and 3/4 turns in clockwise past being flush. I didnt adjust my dwell at all so if you follow this procedure but adjust your dwell you should retune each time.

Hope this helps. Im working on a self made pressure tester so I can get an idea of what the LPR is running at, I will add some pics and update later.

Ill edit that sorry, I turned it in increments of a 1/4 turn at a time, so I made 1/4 turn adjustments 13 times which is aprox. 3 and 1/4 full 360 degree turns, remember I started at 1 and 3/4 full turns out past the LPR cap. So after the resulting turns I ended up at 1 and 3/4 turns in past flush.

I make small adjustments so I can get a finer tune.

As for the HPR adjustment there was still plenty of adjustment left, but no matter how much farther I would have went on adjustment it was not effecting the velocity, so the reg adjuster screw was NOT maxed out it just was no longer effecting the velocity, so I backed it off a 1/4 turn and left it alone.

Got it. So you started with the LPR up all the way and the HPR turned down all the way. Once you sweetspotted the HpR, then you dropped the pressure on the LPR until the velocity reached the ideal range.

Seems a little odd that with both sweetspotted, you could not get the velocity higher than 295. Unless the HPR now has a little more to be sweetspotted.

Did you turn the pressure up (screwing out) or pressure down (screwing in) to get it to stop firing. Also, when you mean 1.5 turns past the LPR cap, do you mean it was screwed out beyond the LPR, or did you turn the screw all the way in, and then 1.5 turns out?

So this sentence is why I am confused, since the previous quote stated that you screwed the HPR screw out (high pressure) and here you are increasing pressure further.

Here did you start with the LPR screwed all the way in, and then slowly increasing the pressure (screwing out)?

I am not trying to be an ***, but I would like to know the steps that you took to get it sweetspotted. I have owner Egos for a while, but I have not tinkered with them as much as my cockers.
edited original post for clarification, hope this helped.

I might just redo the whole install with pics.

With the LPR now in its ideal range the marker WILL go over 295, before I adjusted the LPR was when I could not get my desired velocity with only the HPR, After balancing and sharing the work load between the two regs it is absolutely shooting better than ever.

i feel like your saying it backwards..... but that could just be me, i didnt know there was enough adjustment on a ego lpr to not make the not gun cycle....... just to clarify by lpr you mean the one on the front of the gun in line with the barrel and hpr you mean the inline reg/ foregrip on the gun with the adjustment screw pointing down????

You say that you are running the LPR at 1 3/4 turns in from flush but that seems really odd considering stock LPR adjustment is 2 turns in from flush. So you are actually running a higher pressure through your LPR?

Also you unscrewed the LPR adjustment screw all the way counter clockwise to start your tuning? You do realize that is turning your LPR all the way up, thus running very high pressure through you marker.

Just installed mine and I get a half cycle. It won't fire completely, any ideas what I might have done wrong? I'm searching a looking and have done it twice with the same results

Thanks in advance

Wondering the exact same thing. Anything less then 2 turns is higher pressure. Curious why he would be increasing the pressure over stock instead of lowering it?

yeah the point of the kit is to tune it for lower lpr pressure

Where is this link for tuning the LPR and HPR? I only see the one for dwell.

Well in the ultimate dwell setting thread, Nicky explains what you would experience if the pressure is too low and too high. its also in the manual, but i was sayin i use that thread to tune as a guideline. Maxing out the pressure and slowly working in seems backwards to me.

If I am remembering it correctly:

- Set LPR to stock 2 turns from flush
- Chrono marker using HPR
- Turn LPR pressure down until marker no longer cycles
- Slowly adjust LPR back up until marker can cycle and fire consistently

i dont think the lpr has enough adjustment to stop the gun from cycling

You sure? I'm almost positive that Nicky wrote on here somewhere that if you turn it last about 2 1/2 turns it would result in the pressure being too low for the marker to fully cycle.
When I get a chance I will have to look for that again.
