^^What he said; Shoot Tech@MachinePaintball.com an email
Also note, I've modified the original tuning guide to be up-to-date with V3 info. Re-read if you have the time.

So, the new Vapor coming out is it a V4? or is it going to be an entirely new gun?

From what I heard the body will just be forged not totally CNC'd (still need some I'd presume) so same real body just a different process to get it (though I could be wrong and will take corrections).
The Engine from what I heard will be similar but still different to some extent (but so can be said about any new parts supplied to new versions). Though it should be backwards compatible and fully usable in the older CNC'd models.

oh Sweet, This will just be like Comparing a Milled AK Receiver to a Stamped one, basically the Same gun all the way around, just cheaper for the Creator, which makes it much much cheaper for us.
If Machine gave just a Basic 1-piece barrel(.681-.685) or just a 2-piece with one back and just shipped with 1 Trigger that would also save the end user some cash easily. I'd love to see the new Machine Marked a little lower than a Bob Long NG so it also makes a person buying a gun something to consider.

I'm sure it'll still need to be milled some. All those intricate holes can't be forged, not to mention the threads.
Not a big fan myself of a one piece barrel especially if it means a "one size fits most" thing. I like having an assortment of backs to gauge my paint size without having to buy a barrel kit elsewhere. It separates it from the basic format of the Luxe.
And the one trigger thing... Well... it comes with the "blade" style trigger installed, however I so much prefer the "reach" style trigger they include. I have bought the Ironmen trigger for my last marker and have gotten so used to it and love it so much that the secondary trigger that comes with the current incarnation of the Vapor is a much welcomed addition in my opinion. I'd hate to see it go.
But in the end, I'm sure it'll be both cheaper and faster to manufacture.

Just so you know, there's no "V4" stuff, they're going to be making an entirely new drivetrain that can be purchased separately. Don't call it V4, as people tend to jump to conclusions.
In other news, I posted the entire transcript from Machine's Facebook page ( facebook.com/MachinePaintball) so if there are any questions about that, direct them to Machine, as I know nothing on the subject.

Alright. Finally got my tank aired up today (the local paintball shop is closed Mon and Tues). I had to previously dump the air to convert it to LP.
Finally got to take my new Vapor out to my garage. Crono'd it, tuned it according to Promod's guide, corno'd it again... This is the most awesome gun I have ever had the privilege to fire. I'm gonna have so much fun with my Vapor this weekend. I'm so stoked I'm gonna be counting the minutes.
And thank you muchly for all the help Promod, and your tuning guide worked awesomely

Is there any difference in using the red or yellow can? I use the yellow can with the flat face bolt and it shoots amazing. I do have the v3 can and was wondering if there would be a shot difference between the two.

I only have the yellow can. I'm still waiting to get response from Machine about getting the red. But from what I gather, the red will slow down the speed of the bolt. Making it gentler on paint, but apparently at the cost of air efficiency. Your board settings will have to be changed to use the red can too.

He who reads the guide has his questions answered fastest See below for a direct quote from the tuning guide.

So, keep this in mind: The V3 firing can (the big red can) has a reduced airflow compared to the V1 can. This is done on purpose to slow down the bolt speed. By slowing down the bolt speed, you need to INCREASE all of the timings. I'll write out the tuning guide, and put V1 timings in orange, V3 timings in red......
