Just a quick summary because I've read some interesting stuff this thread doesnt and probably should cover...

1. The "no kick" feature is really really big. It means if you shoot and hold still, your next shot goes right into the same spot, even as you increase shot frequency. Very accurate because of that.

2. The sound isn't really all that loud, but it has a funny "plink - plink" sound to it.

3. Mine maxes at 9bps for sure, but I hear the 2005 models can head upwards of 13 bps, which I think is plenty in tourney play personally (isn't NPPL or NXL capped at 15bps now anyway?). I do think an electro trigger is nicer if just in smooth operation (boy, it would probably even STILL improve accuracy with an electro trigger).

4. It now has a vertical offset feed with a hex screw that seems to work pretty well. I bought a 25¢ thumb screw that made it nice for the very rare breech break (when I use junk paint on a cold day hehe).

5. It is a solid and nice marker. Very high quality craftmenship and nice balance. Also, a nice CP one piece barrel comes stock (matter of fact, my bro is using it on his cocker now because it is so nice... I should take it back and dump my freak in the trash! grrr!)

the epic has a slight kick, I dont know what everyone is saying when they say there is no kick, when I shoot it the gun moves, and to me thats a kick, so in my own opinion, the epic has a slight kick, there will be a vid soon on www.onlyepic.tk showing the epic shooting

It says the movie is still under constuction.

That's not "kick" your felling. Kick tech is in referance what you are feeling from the moving mass inside. Whould you say a Pump has not kick? If yes then the epic has no kick. The only thing you feel is the gass being blown out of the barrel and the paint ball exiting.

So to say this in the simplest but not the most correct terms. It kicks like a pump gun.

reminds me of a crappy mag put together with a semi-auto version of the phantom. usually, if it looks that crappy, it may be good. hmmm... the world may never know...

What Is the Epic? Only one of the most accurate paintball guns ever made. Plain and simple.

Same feeling w/ the dino thing. I doubt they are still made, I'd never heard of this gun until 2.5 min ago plus as highligted on pg 1 it had/has some very weak features (9bps, non-electro).

...yes they're still being made - the website is still up and you can still order from them.

They're now rated to 12-15bps.

I like that it isn't built to shoot super fast. Some of us actually prefer markers that shoot more modest quantities of paint. I also like that it works without electronics. For my play style there's nothing I gain from an electronic marker - and it's one less thing to deal with.

epic

I love this gun .Im not really new to paintball it self but newer to tournaments. I really enjoy a good scenario game as well. I do like the feel of a good electro marker but they dont have a thing on the DV8 in my opinion. If anyone is selling a epic I would definatly be interested in buying it.
