i think ive played about 8 games so far at 800 and idt i saw a single person playing even close to how they should be lol. and yet at least half of them seemed like they had the mentality that they "should be higher."

my friend has been tanking his elo for weeks now to get this low and its by far the most fun ive had on this game lol

So when they reset our ranked stats will we keep our ranked win/loss or is that reset each season? Will we all be 1200 again or will our elo be determined from our current/top elo?

I think it's a sorting system again, but you'll be starting out with people who are around your top elo (even though it's not your true top).

So essentially like last season, but with your top elo and not the "mystery" range

Plus they are resetting the confidence system so good players get out more quickly and bad players get where they deserve to be

I get what you are saying but what is the confidence system?

It's not worth raging over normals. I duo with my friend who is not yet 30 for normals every now and then and we called bot in champ select but our annie last minute changes to ezreal forcing me to jungle and then goes 0/11/0

iirc it is when you start playing ranked you get +40ish and once the system is confident you are in the correct elo you get less per win/loss

They need to figure out an appropriate punishment for dodging. It's worth 30 min to dodge if you know it's a loss but after that it's not worth it. I say go back to 5 min > 15 min > 30 min. With a cap at 30 min.

This also aided to my steady decline lol. I also didn't really get it that much, my logic was "I am at 1200 Elo, what is 10 here and there from leaving really gonna do?" Lost 100-200 just from that.

elo= .5(season 2 elo +1200)

Thats kind of a stupid system. They call it "soft" elo reset. With that formula any body below 1200 will see an elo increase and anyone above 1200 will see an elo decrease.
