Anyone had a problem with a UL board not switching to config/programming mode? I can't remember ever hearing about it on a stock board and a quick search came up empty.
Battery is good, trigger is not depressed, switch 2 on, the marker still powers up in live mode. Other than that, everything appears to be working normally.
I checked resistance through the switch, and switch 1 and 2 are both working properly (= TLR when switch is closed, O-L when open)
Posted this in the Dye forum as well.

I dunno why, but for some reason I want an old PL impulse. I guess I remember a guy at my local field with one and always thought it was cool for some odd reason. Wonder if my wife will get me one for christmas?

Of course it is. They all have pre Gen-E serial numbers, too, like the Aardvarks.

I've been kind of intrigued at the thought of owning another shoebox shocker, too. But I don't suppose it's right to have that sort of muck among the AKA stuff. Oh well...

Playing at PAP where Nasty and Tremor came from, everyone had impulses back in the day, and SFTs when they came out. I had a stock impulse, and a nasty sft at one point.
That being said, I have zero interest in owning another impulse. Or intimidator, angel, etc. Matrix is the only electro from that era I would enjoy using.

Thats nice. I already have a full-size G3, though. I'm looking to SBR an HK-pistol now.
By the way, are former-military personnel allowed to own firearms in Norway, V? What kind of restrictions do you have?

Any civillian can own firearms as long as there are no conviction of the criminal kind.
There are some limits though so you can't own two 9mm pistols, but you can own a 9mm and a .45. Silencers are easy to purchase if you can prove you have a use for it and fullauto items are available to people with collectors licenses.
In the '80s you could purchase STG44s brand new in the box for $80 a pop here.

Wow. I gained a whole new respect for Norwegian gun-laws. I was somehow under the assumption that guns there were illegal. But its good to see Norway hasn't gone the way of the do-do just yet.
I love STG44s. Its scary to think how the dynamics in the battlefield during early WW-II could've detrimentally changed if the Germans would've have mass produced it earlier-on. But that's the godfather of the AK and what some call the "assault rifle."

Sweet guys! I'm gonna purchase my first hand gun after Christmas I think. And also take a CC class on Jan. 6th. Torn between a Glock 19 and a XDM. Both 9mm.
