A few of them popped up on eBay auctions in the last month for about $200.

Not sure how keen my local field will be about using a launcher which is essentially powered by a hydrogen explosion.

Did he have any issues with the Propane powered Tippman pump? Combustion technology has been used safely before. The reason it died as an idea for launchers was because back when it was prevalant everybody was using PVC parts and regulation was done in "1 mississippi...2 mississippi..." increments. I am currently building a field using the nail gun that this idea probably hatched from. It's just as safe in the hands of a player as a pressure vessel at 4500 psi is. There's always the potential somebody is going to be an idiot with it, but when used properly it's actually pretty safe.

We actually had that guy come in and try to get us to put a few on the wall at the shop. It seemed like a pretty cool product. Very solid build. Options for carry handles/ rails/ grips/ stocks/ etc

The way you reload the shells is really neat (the vid on his site explains) but I don't like the buckshot options. The whole 'one ball per trigger pull' that keeps all our fields in semi still applies to a launcher. Maybe good for airsoft guys?
I love the nerf rocket option tho! (I want to under-barrel the sucka!)

One of the guys at the shop and I were pondering picking one up ourselves for 'field testing', I want an honest chance to try and break one before we think about carrying one.

Seems like a cool idea. The only small problem is the fuel cells. You have to make sure you have enough of them, for a event. A game like Fulda Gap or ION you would run out pretty quickly. With a air launcher you would never run out of air to power the launcher. But im not knocking it. I always love to see new ideas for the paintball industry. This seems like a real cool different idea. Cant wait to see one on the field.

Hardboy, you use 1200 shots? i mean this thing either shoots multiple paintballs or a Nerf Rocket, and they clain 1200 shots per fuel cell. That seems pretty sufficient for any game.

Sorry i guess i did not read the whole thing. 1200 shots per fuel cell. Not bad at all. Someone needs to figure out what the FPS are for the rockets.

looks pretty cool. I wonder if it makes a nice bang when you fire it. might be fun to make a tank cannon out of it.As long as it has enough balls to fire with a longer barrel

I wonder how accurate it is? i mean its a great size and has a great fuel source but if it takes 10 shots to kill a tank whats the point?
