Where it started for me.

Are any of you into older stuff, like Misfits, Ramones, The Clash?

Yeah, my parents listened to them as I was growing up so they're "classics" to me but I listen to a lot of the bands on this thread too basically for my discontent with society, which is the same reason those older bands came about.

not a huge fan of power trip, though.

side note: the kid in that vid i posted had his tats done by the bass player (or guitar dude dont remember) from Where Eagles Dare

This will give me my fifth post so I can PM. Now you can tell me those bands are too good, mainstream, or just not punk enough to be punk haha

This thread is the only reason I care about the Music subforum, wandered in from OSST while listening to the new Bad Religion single "True North" and totally loved it, and realized the GDT in OSST pretty much all listen to rap

I'll have to check back here more often.

Also pretty excited for the new Streetlight Manifesto album... if it ever comes out. I hope it's not gonna be like the 99 Song of Revolution project. Third Wave Ska is not exactly traditional punk, but Thomas Kalnoky's writing is up there with the best existentialists poets.
