Sad job by NPPL.
Surfcityusa.com had the announcement up before the NPPL. I guess I should not be surprised seeing that they fired their president.
The rest of the schedule would be nice...you know while sponsorship proposals can be put together.

The rest of the schedule would indeed be nice. I hope the contract is still valid which would mean the NPPL coming back to Boston!

Don't get too comfortable with that date until NPPL releases a confirmed schedule. A few years back, the HB site also jumped the gun and posted a date. It ended up being different when all things were said and done.

Nobody is going to call up surfcityusa.com and complain if the date has to change. That's not a luxury NPPL has.

Which has nothing to do with anything. Maybe you shouldn't be surprised because next season's events don't get announced prior to the end of the previous season. Ever. And the season isn't over yet.

That's just sillyness. Event locations have pretty much no bearing on your sponsorship proposal, and event dates have absolutely no bearing. If you really need to put something down, just put down Huntington Beach an 4 NFL stadiums. It's not like there is anybody handing out paintball sponsorships who is going to find out what the NPPL schedule is from your sponsorship proposal anyway.

Wrong. I know for one, my team's sponsorship (our field) likes receiving expenses lists way ahead of time so that they can plan accordingly and let us know if they will be able to provide the amount we've asked for. I'm guessing it's the same for that guys team that asked about a schedule. Anyway, I don't expect to be waiting a month after the last event to know the full schedule.

I'm still not seeing it. How does knowing where the locations are change the amount of money your sponsor has?
Hotels cost pretty close to the same no matter where you go, and it's not like you're going to know what the airfares will be anyway (unless you're actually buying them months and months in advance, which usually is not the best way to get airfare.)
Just assume last year's locations. That'll be just as accurate of a prediction as actually knowing the locations, given the variables in the airfare and official hotels not being announced yet either.

'
entries are going to be the same
paint consumption is going to the be same (no matter the location)
flights you can usually guesstimate $350 to anywhere in the US
Hotels depending on what you're looking for usually allocate atleast $125/night sometimes you'll get a break sometimes it'll be more same with flights.

You can't claim a hotel in Florida is going to cost the same as one in New Jersey. Apples and oranges. I do enough travel to know this; thus, my point remains in the earlier the better.

But it's not going to be more than a couple hundred dollars difference either, and in the grand scheme of team sponsorship, that's immaterial. No bearing on any team's ability to get a sponsorship proposal done.
It's not like events not being announced in November has stopped teams from playing ALL of the other seasons it hasn't been announced this early.

If you only knew the kind of budget our sponsors are on with us, I'm sure you'd understand. Time is money...and in this case, it's money down the drain. In a struggling economy with some sponsorships outside of the paintball industry, our little intermediate team here is bottom of the barrel on list of priorities. I know you're going to give me the "well you're not the first paintball team in history to have money problems," because that happened to me in the NCPA forums before..but the fact remains that the longer things are held out, the more money I see slip away.

Locations are pretty damn accurate. Tentative dates should be coming down the pipes soon.

Virginia sounds sweet. Def not a bad cruise for all east coast teams.
