thats a pretty bold statement.... They aren't bad regs by any means.... not the very best, but they work well as an upgrade for most mid to entry level markers.

i guess it comes down to CP making regs that fit a wide range of guns. For example the original SLG's reg had different sized threads, and most regs wouldnt fit, IIRC there are two aftermarket regs made for the SLG, one being a CP.

So sometimes, you dont really have much choice to get a higher end reg... in which case, the CP should do you just fine.

So why buy a cp reg for a ego 7 when you could get a better quality reg for almost the same price.

I'm still not seeing where you're getting your opinion on the regs performance from. Not a whole lot of proper in depth testing going on, which I would love to see. (anyone got a spare pressure transducer laying around?)

I've never had a bad experience with a CP reg. Tons of great experiences with their other parts (barrels, ASA's, drops, rails, exc) so they never felt like they were a "cheap" company to me. Though honestly I don't have a ton of experience with their regs specifically. I have my own preferences with regs (I'm a Palmers and AKA man), so I just haven't gotten time to do a proper comparison. But in my limited use of them, mostly tuning other peoples guns, they left an overall positive impression on me.

Now a friend of mine was a huge CP reg fan. He put them on everything. Mostly because he knew them inside and out. He didn't feel the need to learn any new regs since the reg he preferred fit on everything.

I'm not sure where you're getting the ego7 scenario from, but personally, i probably wouldnt.

Either way, they are great regs with a big following. Fubarius said it well.

Because I see lots of older egos with cp regs on them. If anyone has a cp on a gun and would like to shoot a few over a chrono that would be great.

The world is in shock and currently has a ban on all cp regs.

That is why old guns have them and the new ones don't. Under the terms of cp reg ban versus court section 7 subsection 7.4, it states all guns with a cp reg currently installed is allowed to keep them on there but no cp regs are allowed to be bought or put onto a gun newer than 07
I would sig this but I think it would be too long lol

noo. no, it's not. it's good and reliable, but it is NOT an upgrade. to replace the stock reg on your marker with a CP reg is an abomination, unless your gun is an ICD abomination, then it's okay. the only reason for replacing the stock reg on a high-end marker with a CP is if the stock one becomes damaged and is too expensive to replace or repair. even then, if you're going to spend that much money, there are regs out there that are actually improvements over stock regs, but the CP reg is not it. i've yet to have a marker come with a stock reg that cannot outperform or do just as well as a CP reg.

Dude, no. You're jumping into an already established conversation. The CP is not crap, and it works as and UPGRADE for quite a few guns. They are good regs for certain situations and no where did i even mention that it is nicer than a hyper 2, 3 or anything of the like. Dont make brass assumptions that i was saying its an upgrade to every reg out there.

I'm a big ICD fan. Loved my old B2K. But yeah, their regs sucked.

Lots of surprisingly good guns out there sold with really bad regs.
