I've been have some issues with my marker. When I install my tank (with a little air in it) I can hear a very noticeable leak where the barrel screws in. I thought it might be the o-ring but when I opened it up I couldn't find one. I checked the manual and it says it suppose to have an o-ring. I just want to know if anyone who owns this marker has a barrel with an o ring?
The oring on the barrel has nothing to do with the leak...it is your valve leaking. Put a couple of drops of oil in the Asa and dry fire the marker a couple of times to lube the valve. Should take care of it...if it doesn't you will need a new oring inside the valve...and that's a pain in the *** if you don't have the right tools.
Alright I'll give that a shot once I grab some oil. Should I just go ahead and put a few drops inside too to keep everything lubricated or is the oil only for the ASA? I notice the cocking rod is also a bit stiff.
Your gun, the Slice, has the exact same valve system inside it, but it will be much easier for you to take it apart and get to the valve system to work on it because of how we designed it to come apart.
There should be a video I did somewhere taking the Slice apart, but for some reason I can't find it right now...
This isn't the video I was looking for but it does show you the dis-assembly.
Excuse my voice, I was sick when they did this video.
Once you take out all the parts I show in the video above you then remove the two screws that hold the valve to the lower part of the body shells and then follow the instructions in the first video I posted to take it fully apart and fix any seals/leaks.
If you don't feel comfortable doing this, take it to your local pro shop/field and they should be able to help you get it done.
