I got some Diablos too. I got them used and have had them for a couple years now with not one sign of a rip. Awesome stuff. Back in my noob years I thought Id be clever and try to take a ripped pair of jeans and used them to make patches on the knees of a better pair. I completely forgot to take into consideration that I couldnt sew to save my life. So the first time I wore them out to the field I got laughed at for a good 20 minutes. But I was just like "their just jealous". Then I played with them and both the patches scraped off the first time I slid into a bunker. I got a pair of diablos that day off of somebody at the field and never had a problem since.

if you ask me, it doesnt really matter. unless your on a team of course. i just play in jeans and a tee shirt most of the time, and i play speedball more often, but if im playing tourney ill wear a jersey and pants. but for woodsball i wouldnt where a jersey or pants because you stand out real good. so yeah if im just playing for fun i dress casual but in a tourney i dress uniform. idk if that answers your question, but alot of noobs who where uniforms think it makes them look good, when they really suck

paintball pants are deffinatly worth getting because of the padding and special pockets
get pants before you get a jersey deffinatly, i have a jersey but i usually just wear a hoodie and my empire pants (mostly cuz im too lazy to take of my hoodie put on my jersey)
deffinatly buy pants before jersey because pants are more usefull and i just think it looks retarded when you have a jersey and no pants

The ONLY reason I bought pants and a jersey when I did was to fit in with my team for a tournament. if it wasnt' for that I could have waited for a while and spent the $150 on paint or something else

ya skills first, i am not down with a team uniform, i generally try to go ghetto with as many colors as possible, looks retarded, but i would rather be known for skills, than looking snazzy and sucking nuts

I usually wear military BDU's, or just the mil-pants and a paintball jersey.
I know i should wear paintball pants, but i have a bad knee and can't really slide or dive anyway, so there really isn't an issue with me tearing them on slides.
Out in the woods i usually wear the full BDU setup because it has pockets in the front and blends in more, but when i play indoors, i wear the mil-pants and the jersey

Definitely try to get better before buying anything like that.
I personally wear my 07 Planet Eclipse pants and I have various jerseys but you don't have to get any of those things, just play with what you feel comfortable in and don't care about what other people say.
