Staten Island, NY. Me and my friends are thinking about spending a few days upstate to ride Cranx indoor mtb park over spring break. If we end up doing that you guys are more than welcome to come there as well.

Unfortunately the spring on my brakes snapped (you get what you pay for with $20 brakes I guess) and I can't find the spare I had so I'm brakeless. Not that it matters since I won't be riding for two months
nice. i think im gonna sell my bmx bikes and either build one bmx bike or a 24/26 street only bike, but not a cruiser lol. if i stay with a bmx bike i wanna ride a 22tt or maybe a 21.5 would be easier to find for the cheap.
rode the bmx track today but i was by myself so gopro footage was silly. POV shots were okay but setting up shots meant i had to press play, act, then press stop lol, i think windows movie maker is enough to at least cut clips, ill see.

i did once the first day i jumped it and ever since then ive known to move the back of the bike left or right if i pull up in the air. although when i was doing backflips in the foam pit at woodward i think twice i landed off the bike but between the back wheel and seat pinched a bunch of skin on my thighs that was no fun. hurt so much lol.
changed the gearing on both my bikes. my green bike has a lower gear so i can do single gear XC and downhill since the jumps are closed by me. and my bmx bike is running a 28/9t set up so i dont gear out in parks and stuff. its currently brakeless, too which is cool until i go to a big boy park.

Once you ride a legit park brakeless for about 15 minutes you'll instantly notice yourself getting better. I was so hesitant to do things then I took my brakes off and learned so much. Even now I ride better without brakes because I've basically trained myself to be too conservative when I have them on. Just rolling at a vert wall I barely went halfway up it then when my brakes broke and took them off so I could ride the rest of the night I was airing to the top of the wall within three tries just because there was no way I could slow down.
thats pretty much whats happening to me right now. i finally took my brakes off and im finally hitting stuff with enough speed. i did take out a 10yr odl last saturday though.

i really only NEED brakes on my bmx bike for certain trails, but in manmade parks i usually do just fine without them.
ill probably be brakeless at woodward next time i go up just because ill be be riding my DJ bike up there learning to trick bigger jumps and doing bigger tricks. but bars and tailwhips i wanna learn on bmx first.
scott, ill probably text you in a little, my driveway is still pretty wet after last night. if its dry i think me and a buddy wanna ride wakefield or veterans
