Solid thread title. glad to be back

Scott when ya done for the year @ your field? I'm getting out Sunday for a 3 man rookie tourney with my team, we're running 2 squads @ an indoor field, estimating about 12-18 teams, total point format no finals. Hope to have a decent showing at least as its our first time trying 3 man setups and we're moving me from D side to play as home/roam guy for other squad.

Anyone got any tips for 3 man they don't mind lending me

3 man can be kind of tough, make sure you stay up on bodies off the break. When playing 3 man, we tend to normally play pretty conservative. The most important thing when just being beginner, make sure you communicate

When playing home, keep the gun rollin and make sure you hold the lanes

Thanks for the tip, I'm gonna switch things up a few times but most of the time staying home on break and filling in if we drop a body. i'll try and advise a conservative style of play with my guys, sometimes they like to make mistakes getting aggressive @ wrong time in 5's so hopefully we can stop that from happening. The fact that I shot boatloads of paint out of back corner on D side while ripping up bodies @ last tourneys what earned me the "honor" of staying home on one squad lol. Wish we were setting up our top 3 guys for best chance to win but we're trying to balance our squads so no one complains one team was stacked Got our top 2 guys but our D side guy isn't the guy i would've preferred

I played my very first tournament at a 3 man d4 race to 2 format at camp pendalton september sometime lol and got 2nd place out of 15 teams didn't seem very challenging , I just had our players lane of the break then we just played smart bumped up the field and put in work , most fun I've had. Was pretty the intense though !

Jeff for 3 man advice from me and I've placed top 3 in about 10 different 3 man tournaments.

1. Stay out of the snake most of the time, it's pointless in 3 man.

2. Lane off break but after that just be aggresive as ****.

3. If you are the last person left, DON'T FREAK OUT, odds are they only have 1-2 guys left also.

Good luck man, I love 3 man tournys

Yea I think we'll send someone snake side but not actually into the snake unless we lane their snake side off break possibly. Luckily we ran a bunch of 3 on 3's in a scrimmage in August that should help out a ton, tried a bunch of different combos. I got into one 2v1 and ended up winning it. Really should be interesting, I'll be glad if we can win a good bit of our matches and just have a good showing.

Another really ? I played snake through the entire tournament , as soon as I got into snake I bumped without interrupted to the 50 snake then just dropped lanes on people usually no one challenged me in the snake
