Deciding what to get
So... I currently have an axe, and have worked out/about to work out a couple trades. I am looking for the ABSOLUTE best setup. I play tournaments and will prefer a backup since if my gun goes down, Id be screwed. However, if i have a very reliable gun that never breaks down, ill be fine. I play in Chicago where it can get pretty cold (10-20 degrees F). Id prefer to have two guns, but if it is better to have one really good gun, opposed to one backup and one so-so gun, then let me know. I need a gun that is very reliable and won't have a lot of issues. I am also looking for something that would have a pretty high resale value. So, here are my options. These are just how the deals would end if i went through with them. Which of these combinations would be the best? I do prefer axes more than etek 4s.
1. EGO 11 as main, Axe as loaner/backup
2. 2013 demon as main, no backup/loaner
3. Geo 2 as main, etek 4 as backup/loaner
4. Geo 3 as main, no backup/loaner
5.G6r as main, etek 4 as backup/loaner
6. luxe as main, no backup/loaner
7. clone gt as main, no backup/loaner
8. Clone vx as main, AXE as backup/loaner
9. EGO 9 as main, AXE as backup/loaner
10.geo 2.1 as main, AXE as backup/loaner

What are the key attributes you look for in a marker? I'd go with option 8 or option 5 modified to be a G6R with a vice/ protege as a backup/ loaner.

Reliability, ability to work well in the cold, COOLNESS, shot quality, brittle paint shooting.
I don't care about ergos

Given your situation I would go with the G6R for the most amount of pods per fill and being able to shoot in sub 30 degree weather without a hiccup.

In this case I'd really suggest a '12 G6R with a premium bolt and LP poppet for your main (tim2thousand4 has good deals) and a Vice with a pillow bolt (stock) and LP poppet as a backup. If you'll be shooting semi then I'd get 4C eyes for those too.
I would highly recommend a pressure tester for the G6R. I didn't need a pressure tester with my vice... it was easy to dial in.

Ehh. Well the deal for the g6r is gone for me so that won't happen. What are some other good choices? Please list them in the order from best to worse. I also just added the option of geo 2.1 with an axe. Also, it isn't like I will always be playing in cold weather. I will probably only be playing in the cold a couple times a year since normally during the winter I would be indoors. I just need a gun that could play in maybe 30 degree weather

All guns can play in humanly tolerable temperatures. FSDO is typically the biggest issue you'll face and spools are worse about it. That said I never had any issues with my clone vx'd so I'd recommend that.
A gun you don't have listed that I love is the marq/victory platform. V1 vics or closers are cheap but shoot amazing.

Also take into account that I LOVE the axe so if the axe is listed as a backup/loaner, that is a huge plus for that option. I have a confirmed offer that would get me option 10. What do people generally think of geo 2.1s. I am worried about the trigger, shot quality, kick, and reliability. Does it have a high resale value? For example, what would it probably be worth in 1 year. Also, does he 2.1 have a screen?

All geos have the screen.
To be honest I'd rather shoot a boss/ eigenbolt'd axe over a geo. Geos just aren't my cup of tea... They're not the smoothest, quietest or most efficient spools. The design (blowforward spool) is more typical in much cheaper guns such as the DP G3/4/5 and the MacDev drone.

I have a possibly deal that gets me a clone vx+axe. I hope that one falls through. Any opinions on ego 11s? And are clone vxs outdated and is true that they are very smooth and quiet? Also, is their psp mode iffy like it was on the drone?

Ok. Like I said guys. G6r plus axe wouldn't work just because of how my trade works out. Are clone vxs outdated? Do they have a lot of bolt stock problem?

A clone vx isn't outdated. It is 1 model older than the GT and shoots amazing.

2012 demon all the way. The 2013 has some great additions but the price difference and the ability to get a back up would be a great thing
