On the subject of boards, finally there is a mini-morlock board on eBay. But the UTB is around now, so it's kinda null. Still pretty old school and awesome though.

Hahaha... yeah. It's sad to see him go, but I still don't really spend the money on boards anymore since most stock ones work well enough. I don't mind LEDs and coding, like on the shockwave boards, is pretty intuitive.

You're probably right, but IMO paintball technology is advanced enough now that pricing will be what drives competition. Guns like the axe (love it or hate it) bring high end features and service to a mid range pricing segment. I really don't see $1000+ guns doing well in the next ~5 years or so.

They will do fine. It's the mentality of price = quality that needs to change first. My G5 is 1/5th of the price of a geo3, but 8/10th of the performance. Until people stop worrying about being cool and looking good, $1k guns will still have a place on the field.

Lol, I went from a G6R to Clone to axe with lurker bolt... the performance isn't very different, the axe is macroless and has the best CS on the market. I'm pretty content with saving $600 from the other "comparable" guns.

I'm color blind, so if I mess up something in programming, it's nearly impossible to fix it, because I don't know what color I messed up. They use too many colors that (to me) look the same. So I'm a GIANT fan of OLED boards, and will only tolerate LED boards if there is no choice.

Serious? Wow dude, I didn't think of it from a colorblindness standpoint. I guess it would suck that way.

So, I discovered something. 7th Element wasn't to blame for their board breaking. I had these eyes in the board, the connector is TOOOO LARGE. I got the Virtue adapter in, and the stupid things wouldn't even BEGIN to go into it. They're VISIBLY larger than a stock PM8 eye ribbon now that I have a stock ribbon. So they manged to fit INTO the 7th element board, but wouldn't come back out.
With that said, avoid the Punishers PB PM laser eyes like the plague if you shoot a PM. STopped by a local store that had stock ribbon eyes, got the Virtue adapter in, and my baby is up and running again.
