I re-discovered my franken-empire a few days ago, still got to get a damn rear barb that works with the assassinsframe

I had to dremel out my frame. Then I used a pen spring to coil-over the hose to prevent kinks. Worked great but was barbaric (ha) to look at when the frame was open.

What kind of benefits does it offer over a regular 2k5 frame? Other than the back seems to be a bit thinner, does that make much of a difference?

Thinnest frame out there. Allows for the shortest setup with the proper asa and norise feedneck.

weird, i always used stock barbs with that frame and never had any issues what so ever.


also only 2k5 style frame that will full accept 2k2 internals,

still think the stock barb should work just fine, 4 assassins frames on 4 seperate guns using stock barbs and not a single issue.

I did a little dremel work to the frame and then i trimmed a barb down to where it only had one flang thing on it. Once i installed everything i never had any issues.

Got barbs from crankwalk, the hose gets bent by the frame to the point of cutting air off.. Oh well, something will get jimmy rigged into place sooner or later..

Nib, *** on ebay.. Not a bad snag, will put it to use as a loaner this year unless it somehow performs better than my Crome2

i have heard a decent amount of good things about the zr1. i always wanted one but then when i saw it at HB i was kinda meh about it as the profile seemed pretty tall

One thing about marker of the month threads is they really don't capture who actually put the most effort into the gun. A guy might have spent years carefully crafting his true love into the perfect marker only to lose to a guy who just got his tax returns and didn't have anything else to do with the money except try and make a supergun.
IMO, the winners should be the guy who put the most work into the gun, not the guys who had the most money to wield.
