West Point Combat Classic Fall '12: The Battle of the Ardennes

The United States Military Academy Paintball Club proudly presents the 2012 West Point Combat Classic:
The Battle of the Argonne Forest

Below is the information available as of right now.
More information to follow as it is confirmed.

The generals for the Fall Combat Classic are:
American Blue Army-TheSkeletor262 from Blues Crew TV (www.BluesCrewTV.com)
German Red Army-Misfit from the 518th and SPBTV (Scenario Paintball TV)

Date: 19-21 OCTOBER ***TENTATIVE***
with play on both Saturday and Sunday.
Gates open for players Friday at 1600.

Where: Lake Frederick camping area on West Point. Detailed driving instruction posted here and at www.armypaintball.com.
Closest address to our game:
267 Smith Clove Rd
Highland Mills, NY 10930

*NOTE* If you are using a GPS navigator to get to the game then be sure to avoid using Bull Pond Road as it is blocked off.

Registration: 2012 Fall Combat Classic Registration
Chrono/firing modes: Chrono will be at 280 FPS, all firing modes allowed
Paint: Event Paint Only (first strike rounds will be allowed for those players designated by the generals as snipers)

Same weekend as the Viper game down at OXCC. I am sure that is going to hurt attendance for BOTH events.

It's much harder to schedule events for the cadets since they need approval from the USMA.

Actually it's the weekend after the Viper game...the Viper game is October 13-14!

Doing a little history research and this battle seems to be France vs Germany, with the French retreating. Where do the Americans come in? US joined WW1 in 1917 not 1914

Pardon our mistake. Most of us aren't History Majors and mispoke when we said the Ardennes. The real battle is that of the Argonne Forest in 1918. Much of the battle is depicted in the movie the Lost Battalion which is currently on youtube.

Again all other info is TBD as we have many more meetings and much planning to do before 20OCT2012 but we can promise as always that the event will be one of the best in the northeast.

Hey Delta, we love OXCC and Viper, but they are no contest for a West Point event... We proudly support the Cadets every year for both their events because they also come out and support other fields events too. Plus nobody has the toys like the Cadets... Glad to see the events are not on the same weekend. OXCC will see us in Dec. to support Barney..

I have already marked it on the work scheduled so I cannot be bumped by my boss this year! However I will be attending. German side, 5th Army, XXI Corps, 13th Division, 26th Inf. Brigade's 13th Regiment.

Red or Dead. Will be waiting to see who is chosen for the command of the teams this year
