I've since bought a Ditto X2 and I do exactly that. Also a HUGE thumbs up on that pedal. ****ing love it. I purchased a DL4 for like $80 from some local dude maybe a month or two later and I those are normally the staple of looping awesomeness, but that Dittto outperforms it every time. Its button stomps seem way more accurate to my timing and I can loop things perfectly on it. Then I just use the DL4 as a second delay and it all sounds awesome.
Some glamour shots of my current setup:
From left to right: Carvin DC127, Ibanez Iceman Bass, Gretsch Electromatic Corvette, Squire Vintage 70's Jazz Bass
Top row: Line 6 DL4, Ditto X2 looper, Boss DD-7. Hardwire RV-7 reverb. Boss TR-2 tremolo, LovePedal Pickle Vibe univibe.
Bottom row: Boss CE-3 chorus, Boss NS-2 noise suppressor, MXR 10 band EQ, Fulltone OCD overdrive, Ibanez TS-9 overdrive, Boss FZ-2 fuzz, Boss GE-7 EQ, Whirlwind Orange Box phaser, Dunlop 535Q wah, Carvin footswitch.
Carvin V3M 50W
Gibson Mercury 35W
Got my Fender Tonemaster 4x12 w/ V30's rewired to 16ohm too. It was 8ohm stereo, but I wasn't really using the stereo ability so I had it matched to the impedance of my Gibson since most other amps have the option between 8ohm and 16ohm. Sounds so much tighter and better now.
Also had the DD-7 repaired since it had a broken LED, but the delay modes are still all scrambled. The RV-7 is broken in the same way. Had the GE-7 modded with new chips and capacitors to get rid of some noise, and to make it OD a little better when boosting frequencies and the volume.
Sold the Peavey Valveking 20MH on Monday to some kid for like $300, and added another $150 to buy the Carvin V3M. Best purchase I've made in a long time, by far. This amp is fantastic. Though I'm already wishing I had a 100W. It's just enough to get above the mix in a jam, but not much more. Regardless, it's an amazing amp and I'm super happy with it.
Also not pictured is a ton of bass pedals, an Orange Crush PIX CR100BXT 1x15 amp (which sounds very awesome for the $250 it was purchased for), and a Tama drum set with some random Gretsch 16" floor tom and a Roc-N-Soc Nitro throne. We also acquired some ****ty Casio keyboard that we hooked up through some pedals (Maxon RCP660 compressor, MXR Phas 90 Vintage Script phaser, AMT S1 distortion, Peavey DSC-4 stereo chorus, Boss DD-5, Boss DM-2, Yamaha sustain) and pump into a Roland JC120, and it actually sounds really good for how ****ty of a keyboard it is.
Currently making some cool tunes with some cool dudes. Will post up some recordings once we get them mastered over the weekend. Nothing super impressive, but we have some groovy **** going on.
