I know this thread is titled "What's the thing that pisses you off THE MOST at the field," but I have a couple:
1.) I used to say simply "cheating" but that doesn't cover enough ground. I now put it under the heading of "Dishonorable Playing"
This includes the worst of literal cheating (wiping, cheating the chrono, knowingly playing-on through hits (
this includes waiting for a ref to call you out when you know you're out), and using illegal modes and/or trigger bounce on semi). I'm sure I missed some of the methods, but they're all included.

These things alone have played a HUGE role in the decline of paintball and the reluctance of new players to join the sport.
However, it goes further than that (and this is where the "dishonorable playing" title comes in):
Even in the absence of "cheating" per-se, a player with the wrong attitude and lack of self-control can still cause damage to the sport. What I'm talking about here is:
a.) No respect for field staff/authority and/or other players.
b.) Going "hard" on new players.
c.) Overshooting ANYONE. PERIOD.
d.) Bunkering when a single shot or two from a distance was possible.
e.) Poor-sportsmanship, whether it's sore-losing or unneeded gloating on a win.
2.) For lack of a better term:
"People who won't put their money where their mouth is."
a.) "Speedballers" who talk smack and disrespect of the game of 'woodsball;' yet won't "lower themselves" to actually go try it out. Utterly silly. They wouldn't have 'speedball' if it wasn't for woodsball. Frankly, they are the same game and require the same set of skills -- the fields just look different. In my opinion, a true "paintballer" uses the terrain and the environment to his/her best advantage, and doesn't give that terrain and/or environment a second thought.
b.) "Woodsballers" who talk smack and disrespect of the game of 'speedball,' yet won't "lower themselves" to actually go try it out. See reasons listed in exhibit a.) above.
