so a psp field and an nppl field are the same square footage... psp is slowing down and bigger bunkers further back, less coaching ( one snake coach + the crowd, no pit side coaching) hmmm... We have seven people off the break they have five and a coach, sounds like we actually have better communication now. with the rof cap and the possible future of a "race to 3" format, the differance between the two series would be almost non-existant

Rolling your guns is a skill that I for one think makes the NPPL more attractive.
I agree that changing this rule takes one more skill away from this style of play. I know SEVERAL players who can shoot over 15bps without help. It is a skill that requires practice, dexterity, and calmness on the field to pull off.
Isnt there another league who limits the markers so everyone pretty much shoots the same reguardless of skill ?

On a side note. Thanks for the Christmas card NPPL

We are in the process of putting together press releases for 2011. The NPPL team has grown over the short off season, and lots of things are happening, and a few still being debated.
Expect some official 2011 announcements over the next 2-3 weeks.
Merry Christmas to all!

Just so everyone knows the format will stay the same for the Division teams but may change for the pros. There were some minor rule changes that will be updates in the rule book by the first of the year. For example yellow will be the protected color this year. One major rule change will be that we will be going to a capped semi auto at 15 balls per second. This will help with catching cheater guns if they still exist. I am traveling for the next day so I will post more when I get home.

ROF cap WTF the only reason my team plays NPPL is because it is uncapped. All of my guys can shoot over 20 with out help from their broads in their guns. I also know 10 to 13 year olds kids that can shoot over 15 an one of them is a girl so if grown men can't do that then maybe you're in the wrong league. If you are going to cap us you might as well put us on ramping, that is why the PSP was formed for those that cant figure out how to practice shooting faster. If your looking to find cheaters just look into the pro level. If you cant find at least one guy cheating in the pro level ill go by this new rule. But i know none of the owners will admit that their players cheat just little bit, even if it is a owner that is cheating himself, or screaming at the refs about changing rules an changing calls or lose there jobs. You say that the meeting was for the owners of the league an not the public, but what all of you guys are forgetting, without the public all you guys dont have a league. Maybe you should listen, even just little.

shut up, if you wanna complain about the change in ROF than go make your own little league where you can have un capped. With the cap at 15 itll make the game more enjoyable because now you have to be a good shooter instead of just spray and pray.

He just did. 19 bps lanes = you cant get lucky and just dive through them. at 15 bps when you see someone move if you just keep your gun rolling where you know they are headed then they might get through the lane
As the league transitions over to s7 you guys will see lots of change, and as always the NPPL is run by the pros for rules comitee so if all this new stuff turns out to suck/doesnt gain alot of spectators, fans and new teams then you will see the rules change yet again
Change brought us out of the woods, change brought us airball, it got us off the sand and dirt onto turf... change has been good and bad BUT I know that overall they will make changes that are atleast SUPPOSED to be for the better
Also guys don't forget with the pro psp boycott there are more people getting involved with our league. The way things were going (really really downhill since 06-07) means we NEED change, either get ready to accept new rules or lose our league

if the fastest man in the world was playing paintball, it takes 12bps to hit him with one single ball. 15bps shoud be fine. also i though i shot somewhat fast, then i really looked to see what i was shooting, come to fine out it was only 14bps. if your a good shot it wont matter. 12.5bps doesnt seem to hurt the psp and when the psp what at 15pbs, you saw ppl getting ripped apart.

Still waiting on the NPPl to stop dragging *** and post the new rules. While they are at it why not post HB info (hotel, paint, etc) everyday the prices on airfare go up! It would be nice to know which hotel is the event hotel.

Yeah early bird rates need to happen. I have cash in hand but with no press release or correspondence i dont know what to do. By this time last year you could register already. Ill just wait patiently and watch the airfare fluctuate with every storm on the east coast.

There will be a early bird offer!
Registration will open in a week or so.....I believe it opened around the 18th last year, could be wrong though?
Lots of big things happening for 2011, I think we just want to get everything ready to announce when registration opens.
See you all on the beach!

I agree with this..... less the colorful metaphors of course.
