Origional Marq6 Bolt.

So i was told to use locktite on the bolt so that when it is shot, the bolt doesn't fly off the ram. However there are multiple different grades of Locktite. Does anybody know exactly which locktite to use?

Thanks in advance,

Tomahak

Loctite Blue 242.
Red 242 is high strength loctite, much higher then Blue 242, so don't get the red.

if you use black locktite (white bottle) you'll need a new bolt.

before doing this make sure u have no leeks and the popet o ring is in great shap it should be. because if its the cause of the leak you waste time. id suggest buying the quick disconnect bolt.

but if not then blue is the way to go

You can find this at most Auto Part Stores (Strauss, Pep Boys or your local shop)

This absolutly the way to go. make sure you run air into the bolt before putting the Loktite on to make sure you have no leaks before using the Loktite. This way you can disasemble and fix with out going through the Loktite process again.

Let the Loktite dry for about 20 to 30 minutes before cycling and let it cure/dry overnight before using it in a game/practice/tourney.

i don't use the name brand "loctite" but i do however use the generic loctite (ace hardware has brands like "permatex") Just look for a medium strength generic threadlock if you can't find Brand Name loctite.

Yes Permatex is the other option if you can not find loctite.
If you have a friend who owns a Tippmann ask him for the lil white tube, it has loctite (red) in there.

I've actually used both blue and red Loctite. When mine came from the factory, they had used red. It was a ***** to get off that first time.
