Regulator will not zero out?

Got a pooty core, and as instructed Pooty says to zero out your reg and crank it up until it fires again before chronoeing. MY REG WOULD NOT ZERO OUT. counter clockwise is to lower the velocity yes? I did and it simply would not zero out. In fact, after I put the pooty core in and turned the velocity screw down as much as possible, the gun still seemed to be shooting hot. any idea why my reg would not zero out?

Means your regulator needs servicing. Replace the regulator with a regulator from another marker and see if you have the same issue. If your regulator will not zero-out then it is creeping. Some people won't notice regulator creep until they try to zero out their reg. You probably need a new reg seat or reg needs to be cleaned. If cleaning and lubing your regulator doesn't fix the issue I suggest you send it to DLX. The o-rings are nearly impossible to replace on the pin. They're too tiny to do it by hand for most people.

i dont see how my reg could need a rebuild already.. i got the gun basically brand new, used only two times before me. ive used it about 10 times since August and it seems to have shot pretty consistant since then.

How many cases of paint did the previous owner tell you they put thru it. How many cases of paint have you put thru it. previous owners have been known to tell lies. Its always a good idea to keep your regs serviced before they even begin to start breaking down. I think the Luxe relies on prevenative maintenance more than other manufactures to keep them going. Its a $1500.00-$1600.00 gun, why would someone not want to take care of it and keep it clean. I clean and service my guns and regs after every weekend of play.

How many cases of paint thru the gun total. I say service the reg then see what happens. A good grease/lube job goes a long way.

Service the regulator for sure, I prefer using Hater Marmalade on any of my reguators, it isn't affected by weather change as much, and doesn't swell your orings through time. It seems to keep my regulators more consistent for longer (comparatively next to DOW based lube).

Regulators regulate air flow. If you're zero'ing it out and its not stopping it then obviously its not doing its job.

Your tank regulator could also need servicing. Try a different tank since it is an easier swap than rebuilding the reg.

Sometimes I don't even know why people bother to ask for advice here.

Most threads I read are full of good advice and then the person that asked the question comes in and says "I don't think thats the problem hurrdurrdurr"

If you don't like correct advice.. dont ask for it.

problem solved.. and i know im gonna sound like a duufus BUT... I was cranking the reg all the way up instead of down.. the reason why is because when the gun is held normally, counter clockwise is actually clockwise on the reg, when u flip the gun upside down its the opposite lol thanks to everyones help except godreap you suck lol much appreciated

You will be lucky if you didn't ruin the reg seat.
