there has to be some tutorials on dwell somewhere. I think its all about the amount of time (in milliseconds) a valve stays open... mostly on impulses and old shockers. Tuned right, it will help your efficiency; tuned wrong, and you're boned.

Tuned too low and you get things like inconsistency, drop off, etc

Too high and you just have really bad efficiency.

With various bolts, etc, you can tweak the dwell to try and get the best of both worlds.

Example: On an Axe both the Boss an Lurker bolts drop the dwell and input lower than stock recommendations. If tuned right people shoot in the 290's with 3ms Dwell and sub 150 PSI so they're using less air and can get an extra pod out of a tank in a lot of cases.

A huge amount of the newer markers let you adjust that via LED or OLED settings.

When I had my 05 ego, I didn't really mess with all of the settings. I just set it to the factory defaults and it all seemed to work pretty well for me. I tried a few times to tune it, but the end result were worst than the factory. I blame it on me, not on the ego.

I do still have my trusty Spyder TL.
