Why did you buy an Epic?

This is for all the Epic owners out there. I would like to know why you bought an Epic.

As for me, I bought one because I wanted something reliable. I was tired of having guns that never worked. All I wanted was a gun that worked every time it was gassed up. The Epic was a perfect match.

I bought one because I thought they were cool. Seriously, I just liked the innovative design; compact, boltless operation, built-in reg, all the pneumatics... I was just impressed by the engineering. Plus, I got mine cheap on Ebay. 240 shipped, with a 14 inch Stiffi.

Wow, that was a REALLY good deal considering I paid almost double that.

They may be expensive, but I think they are easily worth the price. The design and how everything is built in (no hoses or anything to mess with) makes it a great gun.

Yeah, and I bet you would flame everyone else for having bought some other $500 gun. This thread is for people that own epics, glad you can read.

I have owned a slew of electro's and finally got tired of always feeling like I had to purchase the next best upgrade in order to compete with everyone else's 50bps gun. Its a characteristic of paintball that I hate, so I knew I needed something else.

I finally gave in and bought an epic, something that will never need an upgrade, never break down, does not need batteries, can be used in all playing conditions, and can shoot fast enough.

Sure, it doesn't shoot 25 bps, but frankly I could care less. I'm happy that I'm not stuck in the gun loop like the majority of other players.

I paid for something unique, simple, and efficient, and thats exactly what I got. My purchase decision was a heck of a lot more honorable than any 25bps gun toting prepubescent can say about anything they have ever bought.
