Just a quick question, got an Indy here with a leak from the ASA (with another it works fine)

Now the question, how do I disassemble the ASA to get to the orings? cant figure it out, and what sizes are the orings (believe there are 2?)

EDIT: found it out, replaced the orings but the ASA still leaks really bad, any idea what this is causing?

where is it leaking from exactly on the asa?

from the pin hole, or the knob area?

It seems to be leaking from behind the knob

there's two o-rings in the asa, i believe, going off of vague memory, did you replace the o-rings with the right size?? also if you have dow55 i'd lube it with that

I've been trying to figure out the size of the two orings for a while now. One of them is a standard size, 012 if I remember correctly, and the other is metric. Does ANYONE know what size that metric oring is (the smaller of the two)?

got a 08 indy and when i fire. the bolt sticks forward until i pull it back. it does this a few times, then shoots good. then does it again. any thoughts

what do the rammer o-rings look like?

i have no clue. havent taken it apart. trying to fix it without tearing the ram apart

well it could be your LPR not seating properly at first, it could be your noid, or it could bea terribly worn ram o-ring. if you dont feel comfortable taking it apart send it in

Alright, so I have an 06 remains and at this moment it is leaking from solenoid/ram housing(yellow line in picture below).

it does cycle just fine and the HPR has been fully cleaned and relubed.

would this be a blown solenoid or would I just need to rebuild the rammer?

Nod gaskets NEVER go bad, just doesn't happen - and yes the ends should be cut and open.

Thats a bummer, but no reason for you to be sorry Mr. Rice. as long as I'm able to get a new one all should be good

Just one quick tip to add. Pull the ram out of the ram body and check the oring on the end. If it has minor damage it will leak and blow air out of the opposite side of the noid. A lot of remains owners don't keep up on their lubing because the guns usally work a long time without any attention. Which is good, but can also be bad because it makes people lazy lol.

Make sure your noid is screwed on level as well. If one side is screwed on tighter than the other, it can cause a leak out of the gasket. My old remains would sometimes come loose after a few months of play. I just added some blue locktite and solved that issue.

Those older noids are known to go bad though so if you have to send the gun in, you may want to pick up a spare for the future. Just to be safe.

For the record, I also had one of the later 25 mac noided 06 remains and that thing with a trigger upgrade) was one of the best performing guns I ever had to this day. I miss it....

MstrKey is good, MstrKey is wise.
However if you take the solenoid off and cover the holes - first one and then the other, then pull and push the hammer you can see if it is holding air real strong or not. May give you some indication if you want to open it.
Further you can slip and round off the cap easily. Don't use pliers or small crescent wrenches. No channel locks. Best to put in a vise and use a large crescent wrench - 6 inch wrench is too small.
Good thing is if you do round it off you can use a bastard file and square it up again.

alright i was as able to take the ram apart. the orings were in good shape. just aliitle dirty. clean and relube it. notice the valve pin was a little stiff. took it out and clean that also. no leaks from the solenoid. aired it back up and the bolt still get stuck forward until i pull it back.

That's a good tip. You'd have to take the noid off to safely pull the ram out anyway so this is a better way to check. You could even put a drop of oil on the holes and suck it in just to give the ram a lite lubing as well.

Try Jacks ram testing method a couple posts above. An oring may look good but not actually be doing it's job.

Does your gun fire normally after you pull the bolt back, or does it just stick forward after every shot? Does the noid click without air in the gun?

The only reasons I can see this happening is from air bypassing the ram oring, a fried noid, or too much input pressure to the noid.

Try this. Drop your LPR output to zero so there shouldn't be any air coming out of it. Then air up your gun. Does the bolt move? Is there air pushing on it? If so then air is bypassing your LPR and you'll need to change the outer LPR body orings(lube with dow55) and the small inner LPR oring that the piston arm rides on. If memory serves those are the orings that block high pressure air from the LPR output zone. Make sure your regulator seat on the end of the LPR piston is attached and in decent shape as well.

i already did the ram test when i had it apart. didnt realize that i was testing it. but just messing around with it. once i reassebled the 08. it fired about 20-30 shot before the bolt started to stick. after pulling the bolt back. it sometimes stick after each shot or after a few shots. ran out of air testing it. so have to wait till sat to test out the lpr
