make allot of freinds in a variety of fields, start asking around, organize a bio of the team and yourself, stay completely dedicated to the process, be patient, ummmm win some tournaments and get good. it takes a good amount of time and determination

spend alot of time on a team rusume, and if you get a sponsor, make sure you give back to the sponsor as much as they give to you, by which i mean promote their company, and dont talk crap about their stuff. gl man

Learn how to spell "sponsor" first. Play local tournaments, prove that you are a good team (sponsors don't rather not sponsor a team that is terrible), and write up a resume

pretty much everything stated above is what you need, a solid resume for your team, but mainly skill and determination....you cant just go get discounts and sponsors when you have nothing to show them, you need to build up a solid reputation and show them you (and team) have what it takes to help them out when needed and arent going to just want stuff from them..........really just practice...........

Sportsmanship on an off the field goes a long way too. People and businesses want to make investments into people that make them or their business look good and feel better about helping a cause/team. If you are great players but lousy sportsmen you don't get a lot of people willing to invest in you or your team. If you are good players and great sportsmen your chances of landing a sponsorship increase 10 fold.

i was wondering the something two years ago. we had a pretty good team and we wanted it to be official so we just went to a bunch of big company websites (redz, eclipse, proto, dye, and some paint company's) and requested sponsorships. we ended up getting a lot of let downs but we did get one from redz and they were a great sponsor.

I'm sorry but redz is a joke of a sponsor, they'll sponsor absolutely any team that hands them an application and they could care less how well you play. No one buys redz **** anymore so they make their money by making you think they're "sponsoring" you so you have to buy their ****. Seriously, I could make up a team and submit an application and I guarentee I'd be accepted.

Our team almost picked up a redz sponsorship and it said that we could not use ANYONE elses gear except theirs and a mask and stuff they dont make. But that inludes jersey, pants barrel kits, gloves. Everything and no other logos could be shown except theirs. We said no lol.

Everyone mentioned some really good stuff. I'm going to throw in my $.02 worth now.
Just because a company says they will sponsor you doesn't mean that you are getting a good deal. One of the biggest mistake a team can make is get a "discount" on something they already have (e.g. a paintball gun for 15% off). Most people fail to realize that most paintball guns on the market today are marked up 500% (five hundred percent) from what it costs to make them. If you're looking for a sponsor, don't get caught up with the idea that getting a top of the line gun for $800 from $1100 is a good deal. It probably cost them $200+/- to make. I can go on all day about sponsors, but you get the idea. Everyone gave excellent information on how to get a sponsor. I'm just saying to really pay attention to what companies "sponsor" you with.

Alright, what i did-
1. I went to my favorite field that knows how good a player i am and ask for sponsorship, and they gave me free practice time, and paint.
2. I talked to my field sponsor about their paint sponsor and they said they might be able to hook-us-up with a paint sponsor. We got it!
3. I went online and asked for sponsorship from energy drink companies, PB gun companies, and local PB gun shops. Im sponsored by a local paintball shop and Slap Energy Drinks now.
I hope this helps.
