I went there twice and both times I was greeted with a rude lady and even calle and still it was her maybe its the tone of her voice but the tech was very friendly. It's alright.

You must be going somewhere else because Julie has never been anything but nice to me. She has always been willing to go that extra mile. If I need a part for a marker I'm working on, she always seems to be able to find it for me, no matter how odd it is. Only place I'll go.

Never had any issues with anyone at darkstar being rude to me, every time i go i get a friendly greeting, staff is very knowledgeable and always has answers or solutions to any of my problems.

This is being referred to as a field, but Darkstar is a store. They do have banners up at parks/fields but as far as I know do not actually have a field/park. I've always had a pleasant experience with Julie but I'll admit you can't go in pretending to know what your talking about. Either knowingly accept good info from a source that stays informed or know your stuff and see if they can assist you with whatever your needs. But she's running a shop and will clearly let anyone know. Mike is more mellow of the two but they will both try to assist with what issues a customer will have.

Went to Dark Star for the first time with my sons, great STORE Julie was nothing but wonderful to my and my kids. I have been around paintball for sometime, and this store is a good store.

I figured that would happen, makes me sad. It was a great store and I think the school forcing them to leave their location next to Target killed them.

I talked to Julie about it on the 20th, I went there to get air and had no idea they were closing shop. She said the move cost her upwards of 10k and she was never able to recover. Between that and the small business taxes, she was proper hosed. A damn shame too, because my 15yr old is now wanting to get into the sport, which in turn is getting me back into the sport but now we have no real local place to get equipment.

Tempe Paintball has a pro shop now, and can get you what you need.

Having said that; I agree. Dark Star has been a very positive location, and it's sad they had to shut down.

Oh, very cool. I haven't played in a bit, busted my knee last year, but plan to head to TEMPE sometime soon for some late night play. Plus I just like indoors. I hate sunlight... *hiss*

I'll be playing there during the summer, don't want to have to get up before.the sun to get a couple of hours in anywhere else. Just not sure about playing down at 220

Not an issue due to the smaller field size. Speed compensates back to distance of the field.

I played there a TON for a while, and other than that initial set down and tweaking it to get into 220 I can't say it was an issue, honestly.

I haven't been there in a while, but Saturday during the day has always been the best when I was there. Tons of recballers.
