The Arabs and Muslims that lived in the area were there legitimately. To suggest that the Jews had a legal right to the land because they lived there centuries ago is asinine. The Zionist movement reclaimed the land by force and coerced Arab Muslims and Jews into leaving through the use of violence and intimidation.
