You could, but i'm not sure why you would want to? The regulators we manufacture are used all the time in the air rifle industry.

Call us at 877-646-5287 and we can fill you in on the air rifle regulators we manufacture.

What's the difference between the adjustable regulator and the ultra-lite regulators?
Ultralite is a lighter version of our standard adjustable reg. Comes with an Aluminum bonnet and micro gauge.

If you have a brass bonnet, the anno will start to turn an OD green color after a while. If you have an aluminum bonnet, it will weigh next to nothing and stay a black instead of turning an OD green color.

Sorry Dixi. What liverlip stated is true. you have a preset, non-adjustable regulator. What you can most likely do is trade your reg for one of our adjustable regulators. Try the PBN b/s/t section and give it a go. I'm sure you can find a bob long user that would trade ya

Sounds like something got up into the regulator which allowed the ball seat to not seal properly and then overpressurize. Call me up and we'll take care of you.

May be a stupid question and pardon my stupidity for not knowing what this is called but I lost the little black thing that goes over the little nozzle where you can fill the tank while it's connected to the gun. Is this important? Should I look for a new one?

Not important per say..your tank don't need it and it will be perfectly fine without it,
But if you dig your tank into the ground while crawling or drop your tank/gun
Your going to get dirt in the nipple or ding it... find of course can be bad, and dirt in your tank well after some time will effect the regulators performance,
Not that you shouldn't be cleaning your regulator every once in a while, I'm I correct rob?

I would agree, to a point. I would say a Fill Nipple Cover, the accessory that goes over your fill nipple, is pretty important since it prevents any debris from entering the fill nipple. If you dont have a cover and you get hit in the reg and point gets inside and you dont notice, once you go to fill your air system, you're going to push all of that paint (or any dirt or anything else that gets in the fill nipple), down into your bottle and back up into your reg which could cause a number of issues.

In regards to cleaning your reg, I say once every 4-6 months, bleed the air out of the bottle, disassemble the reg, give the inside of the reg and all of the parts a good cleaning (you will be surprised at how much "black" junk gets wiped out), inspect your orings which rarely go bad inside a ninja reg, lube the orings with silicone based grease, and put her back together. This preventative maintenance will go a long way to ensure you dont have issues with your reg. (great recommendation btw xgreyfox!)

@Rob, just a heads up before I call, it does look like there is a small gash on that ball seal. I took the whole thing apart and couldn't find any debris, just what looks to be a scratch next to where it actually seats.

The regulators to my knowledge, are torqued to factory specifications with RED (semi permanent) thread locker. You will need a strap wrench or other improvised device to remove the regulator without doing damage to the bottle.

oh trust me, its not coming off with ANYTHING. ive used a strap wrench to try, just slips off. ive used the loose rubber on the strap wrench and then a vice grip around that rubber(as to not damage anything) still no luck... Did the same thing, but used a blow dryer to heat it up(in hopes of cracking it loose) still, nothing.

Ive given up, i struggled with it for a couple hours. Time to give it to a tech and have him do it for me.

Your best bet is to let your local Ninja Dealer handle it for you. Most of us have devised VERY custom tools for removing regulators of all kinds. Ours specifically is the cradle for an older air america system that has been milled out.

As I said, your local Ninja Dealer should be the one to work on your air system. Remember, you take care of your air system, the air system takes care of you. Let the pros handle it.

Yeah, most of which are delrin specifically milled out to cradle the exact regulator and then get it out without any damage. ive seen them before, just dont own one. And i've always worked on everything myself, only when ive exhausted all my resources will i go to any1 else.

And ive contacted my local ninja dealer and was told i would have to leave my tank there and wait while the tech there deals with all the guns and such prior to my tank. Which is understandable. But i need my tank done by the weekend so i can get out and play

Either way, ima give it to my local tech and have him do everything.

We install all regs with 1/2 of a measured drop of red loctite. Its the torque we apply that holds the regs on. The loctite is there to only help slow down the removal process, not stop it entirely.

We install all regs with 40ft lbs of torque. You need a min of 18ft lbs of reverse torque to remove it.
