The one gun rule has been long standing at Skirmish with only a few exceptions- 1. a pistol seems to not count as a second gun, 2. my big goofy rig, 3. The mass produced "Double-Trouble"
The ref (Bill) we always talk to told me the reason they don't allow dual wielding is the same reason they don't allow blind firing. You can't see what you're shooting. Or in this case, you can only see what you are shooting with one gun. My rig fixes both barrels to the same point and allows visual tracking of ALL my shots. Same thing with the mass produced "double-trouble". It's funny this comes up. I had this conversation with Bill again on Saturday morning, at ION.

Gunner.. I told ya several times throughout ion how badass your groups costumes were and Ill say it again.. Baddass and spot on...
and you are correct on all counts of the duel gunning.
I didnt get a chance to address the issue any further about two guns at once after I left for the fields before ion as I didnt have internet acces untill the following tuesday.
I had Asked several of my higher ranking feild refs.ref manager, field manager/scenario dirrector and they gave me the same answere..
Two fisting is simply not allowed.
any time I had come across a player using more then one marker at a time I as nicely as possible informed them of the rules and they were more then cool and understanding with the official ruling on it.
Your rig was in the clear as far as its use for scenario games as per all the above mentioned members of skirmish had stated to me prior to the start of ion..
as far as it being clear for use in rec play..
if they say its all good.. then who am I to go against them feel free to give a call and ask..
