Clone GT reg? I have a leak out the adjuster hole

I took the reg out and can't get the reg apart now. I'm trying to get to the orings inside the oring retainer and would like to 1). Know how to get the oring retainer apart from the bottom works and 2) If someone know which oring to solve the leak out of the adjuster screw. I'm getting to know this gt reg intimately Sorry for all the questions nationers, but I really would rather know how to do it than have someone fix it for me.

To get the retainer apart from the bottomworks, put something metal through 2 of the holes in the retainer and use it to brace it while you turn the bottom with the 1/4" allen wrench. You can slip an allen wrench through the 2 holes, but unless it's a real good quality one they tend to bend. I personally use a drive or a punch which are made of steel and they never bend.

As for the leak, check the 008 on the outside of the adjuster itself, or the 6x1 under the reg seat.

Ok, changed all the orings in the reg. Most all of them had alot of metal shavings under them. Never had a gun have that much metal shavings. I'm betting that's most of the problems with this reg. I'm wondering what "stock" pressures are at, via turns out on the reg? And what are stock pressures exactly. I'll buy a tester, but would like to know if I'm close. Well, good news all the leaks are gone. Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately there's no way to know what the pressure is at by how many turns the adjuster is out, the pressure tester is the only way to know for sure. The gladiator regs are very sensitive to adjustment and small adjustments can have pretty big fps jumps. I adjust mine to 100 before I hit the field but if I didn't have a tester I would just probably zero it out and turn it out a half turn to a turn and then adjust out from there over the chrono when I got to the field.

Ok, thanks again Mark. No leaks and it's shooting like a gt should. I'll get this broke in soon and then will be able to report back then. Thanks again.

Ok, I lied. Or I spoke too soon! Took it to the field and had a new battery and a mid pressure ninja reg and fresh paint. It acted like a old sft w bolt stick. Tried changing out the switch oring a few times and the power tip orings a few times, upped dwell to 14, tried abs settings and nothing helped. I'm really stumped now.???

You are having a solenoid issue. You may want to send into a center to have tested and repaired.
