I am really leaning towards getting a 70-200 f/2.8. I used my friends a bit and wanted something that could reach out further for shooting large woods fields. However I am thinking since I am shooting the close side of the speedball field most of the time anyway it is probably the way to go. Especially since the 200-400 f/4 is in no way in my price range.
I just need to figure out if the lens letting more light in or body processing light better will be the better upgrade as they are probably going to be a year apart.
What is everyone else using on the field?
