also...60 a case is rediculous for bronze, i know what the most expensive prices are for xball paint, and i know 60 a case is making you some money, i think you were lucky that the teams that did play didnt notice, or didnt care and paid it anyways

basically had no choice... the only paint offered at the tourny

Sounds like all of you will love the VICIOUS 5 man series this year. It will be 3 events at 3 different fields. The paint will be around $45 and $55. Prizes at each event, and most likely the series prize 5 soutwest tickets to world cup $1000 towards entry fee 15 or 20 cases of DXS GOLD and $250 towards hotels at world cup. We will post more info in a few weeks once every thing is done. This event will be ran and reff'd by Team VICIOUS.

Also does everyone think $200 entry fee is fair?

200 +

Id definately consider 200 a fair price. As much fun as I had with the I-29 last year, this year it looks like they chose the farthest 3 locations from where my team is located so each event would be a 3-4 hour trip for some of us, and a 5-7 hours trip for the rest of us. (a tad far for a local series that plays on sundays when most of us work the next morning) So we would definately interested in learning more about the vicious series, and being able to play in our own state for 5 man finally.

we noticed... trust me. but keep in mind, this is South Dakota. there are 2 feilds on this side of the state that arnt 6 hours away. and its only series w/in decent driving distance for Everyone. its really convenient, location wise.

we (my team) had sponsorship plans to play the events, but eventually, we just couldnt afford to play them b/c there werent any teams in our division, so 1st place maybe won their entry back.

yeah pooner, i understand that completely, i wasnt dogging on any of the teams playing it, i sure as hell wouldnt have played it, even if it was the only thing available, i would have drove somewhere to practice rather, or bought real-estate with the money i saved from buying paint

I know our team would be interested. just as long as the dates don't clash.

Paint was $65 for the first 2-3 events for I-29 btw. They did give the option later on to get better paint silver and Gold for $5 more each which was good because if you didn’t like bronze you could get better paint.

I want to see the I-29 series grow and anyone that doesn’t don’t know what they are talking about because it’s the only series in this area to play and if it’s gone I can bet that so will paintball in this area (Except scenario players)

It’s about time that Nebraska/Iowa gets a 5man series going I never could understand why they never did before besides WTS which is 3-man.... I mean they have better players/teams and more people who play so it’s great to see Vicious stepping up to start a series.

About I-29 excluding us from I-29 I can understand it. 6 events 3 paintball field owners= they want to keep money in their pockets not us or mfl. As you know I plan on starting up my own field and have found out paintball is expensive to put everything together to make it work. Do they want to make money? Of course they do they are putting a lot of time and effort into the whole thing and want something back in return.

But the I-29 imo isn’t for Amateur teams (unless you don’t care about the payout) It is more for rookie/novice teams and it’s a shame that they can’t change their payout to make it more fair to the Am teams. Ya their isn’t going to be an end out series payout but that still in no way fixes the money giving back to the Am teams. Unless they change that I can’t think of to many teams that would be willing to play the series as Am. But who knows it’s still early.

But if you’re a new upcoming team or novice team it’s a awesome series to be in and I hope that it only gets bigger and better, and maybe then it will have more then 2 am teams to play it…

Rough dates for the Vicious Series.
April 13th
June 1st
July 27th

Looks like
5 Southwest airlines vochers
15 or 20 cases of DXS Gold at world cup
$1000 paid to the psp under your team name for entry fee to world cup
$250 towards hotels in orlando
This would be for the series prize.

The first event will be something like 5 PE gearbags or 5 DXS 68/4500 or 5 VL with Dynasty kits
Enrty will be around $175 -$200 per event
DXS paint around $45 and $55 per case.
Each event to be played on an X-ball field
Reff'd by Vicious
Max 20 teams per event
D-3 5 man roster rules
None of this is set in stone but 80% or 90% done.

What ever team wins the series will more or less be looking at rental car fees for world cup is playing 5 man, if playing x-ball it will make a big dent in the cost.

Vicious is a Draxxus team so we will be selling a few grades of DXS paint at the events.

runner31490 why would you want to go back to having only 2 classes? I29 is getting bigger not getting smaller. You get a larger number of teams in one class teams that get beat tourny after tourny will stop coming like over half of the rookies this past summer. In the end we only had 5 teams that went to at least 5 of the 6 tournaments.
