Palmers Stabilizer question

I have a 98 custom, pretty much stock, and I'm running on CO2. Do I need an expansion chamber so I don't mess it up? I've read from different sites that say it's needed and others that say it's a waste so I don't know now. Sorry if it's a noobish question guys

Get the Stabilizer. It was, by far, one of the best upgrades I bought for my 98. You'll need a vertical adapter, and you'll need to spend some time on model98.org reading about tuning the regulator to work optimally with your gun, but definitely DON'T get an expansion chamber.

Hey thanks for the reply sgt-spam, I'm definately going to get a stabilizer. I just wasn't sure if I needed an expansion chamber, I won't get one now. Am I going to need a new hose if I get the male stabilizer?

Only if the one you have isn't long enough. IIRC, my stock steel hose from my 98 wasn't.

So about how long and what kind of hose would I have to be looking to buy? Maybe I would be better off avoiding the vertical adapter and new hose by just getting the Female kit? By the way sgt-spam, your guns are freakin sweet.

If I were you, I would stick with the male Stab. You'll have to experiment with the hose length - depends on your ASA, etc.

I'll probably take your advice and stick with the male Stabilizer. Thanks a lot for the help.
