I've decided tonight that I will look into myself and peer into my mind and soul. I am not who I want to be. I will embark on a spiritual, mental, and philosophical journey to find out who I am and what I have become. Being as this is ST:R, I don't expect anyone to take this whole thread seriously. I would hope that you have the kindness enough to hope I don't destroy myself in this endeavor. If my mindset is changed, so be it. I have already begun looking into my religious belief system. I have shaken it to it's core, and that will not be shaken.

I have no idea how long this will take or how I am going to do it. But mark my words, I will. This is a journey, to find my ultimate truth, even though I know ultimate truth is not to be found here.

I was being serious *******. It's not the first time someone in this forum has contemplated something dangerous. Just because you can't piece together any shred of intellectual honesty in this subforum doesn't mean I can't.

I say again, I certainly hope the OP isn't going to do anything harmful to himself.

You should be more specific when you say you will be "embark on a spiritual, mental, and philosophical journey to find out who I am and what I have become."....perhaps there are those of us who can help pr provide some insight for you.

I don't think so... this is quite necessary for growth. If there were any other way to reconcile these thoughts and questions I have I would gladly take it. I need this.

Thanks... but I think this is more of something personal... while I don't mind insight in a broad sense... I think I'd rather do this alone.

That being said, this is more of a personal reference for me than a thread for debate or something.

I don't see why. It's true you would no longer need to ponder such things, but there are still plenty of things to do and enjoy. If I knew the truth it would allow me more time to enjoy my family, friends, loved ones, hockey and paintball without the stress of wondering how things will ultimately end up. I suppose that those who are true undoubting zealous believers in any religion can claim this kind of peace as they believe they know the truth. For me such a belief is impossible because I would always know that I am only fooling myself.
