Getting back into paintball after a few years of break. prefer something easier to maintain . new would be ideal but depending on the used deal it could possibly trump. any recommendations?? thanks in advance
Eteks are tanks and have my vote for pure ease of maint, but you would have much better shot quality out of a protege or tuned ax.
Picked up a used etek1 that was full of sand. The cup seal was seperated, didn't leak at all, and the damn thing still shot!
Protege takes a lpr tool to set up the first time, but you can get close without it. Once lpr press is set, maintenance can consist of wipeing paint off it. I feel like I'm abusing it after 10 cases and do a courtesy lube on the ram.

I recently picked up an 06 Cyborg for 205... I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than that(faster, more efficient, easy to clean, etc)... plus the stock board has tons of modes.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find something that is quantitatively better than it for less than 500.
