This review is gorgeous. I love you doc.

That said, I do wish someone can test this cocker out with an AKA lower tube assembly.
Or a full PPS one, for that matter.

AND i'd think an instant buy for anyone for this cocker to really round it out is an SM-1 IVG.

The sniper bolt's so well designed that any difference between the two will be pretty negligible.

Kinda why price of them was cut in half so quickly. They made it and were probably like "oh ****... this doesn't really warrant a change afterall..."

One of the really nice things Empire's been doing (has anyone else noticed this?) is that they're not tying a year to their guns. Is there a 2011/2012/2013 Axe? Nope. There may be different generations, like what happened with the Mini, but that's for product improvements, not a milling change and taking off .005 ounce of weight. That way, we don't have to play the "what year is my gun" and "ZOMG my 2015 is SO MUCH BETTER than your 2013!" game.

This is actually pretty cool. Totally in agreement here.

Joking....

I wonder if the 2014 is going to change to a different milling since 2012 and 2013 was the same?

For Pump Scout- the serial number has the year in it

they will not fit. the valve is as 11/16th" like AKA merlin's, WPG trilogy, and newer blackmagic's. I think three company's are making valves that would fit, Palmers PPS (trilogy valve), AKA (Merlin/Vik/Excal valve), and Check it products.

IMO the FACTORY valve is very good. independent test "******" got 11.5 pods @ 290-300 fps.

Mike did a good review on this.

freaking awesome review. Ive been thinking about selling my Axe to get the orange splash ACR at paintballgateway. It comes with a POPS asa instead of the empire one.

I was actually surprised how much I liked the ARC, as a longtime Shocktech fan, the trigger was short & snappy. I did put a rounded lug in it after the initial outing, but otherwise, I kept it stock. I also averaged between 11 to 12 pods on a 68/4500. My only complaint is that I had to buy a Rotor, as I believe the blowback wouldn't let me use my Revi's during rapid firing.

I had that same problem running a Reloader 2, I'd get the occasional air-only shot. Wasn't sure if it was blowback through the feedneck, or if it's the speed the bolt is moving, and having just enough clearance to drop a ball. Running my Prophecy, zero problems feeding... assuming the dummy on the trigger remembers to turn on the hopper.

can i do a swing trigger set up on this gun, or is it not worth the effort and the slide trigger is fast and light enough .

its just as good as any high end slide trigger, if you don't need two fingers to throw some paint and your timing is right, you'll do fine. I just played against a actual team of speed ballers in an urban course and I wrecked them all with my resurrection. Near and Far.

Anyway to fix this blowback issue without dumping 100$+ into a new Hopper.. Been using my revy but sometimes I getting blank shots.

Check the oring/breach fitment. If there's no problem there, perhaps space out the firing and cocking points a bit, they're set pretty close from the factory. I've had no issues using my Revy on it.

Basically you are out shooting the revy, once the balls get low they begin to bounce off the propeller instead of dropping down the feedneck. I was able to out shoot a revy back in the day with a Model98 with a custom trigger and spring kit. I suggest a force feed system if this is an issue, or you may try a JMJ Impellar if you can find them, they helped revy's a lot back in the day - https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3604516
