~~Woodsballers Anonymous Club~~
Finally there is a club for all of the die hard woodsballers among us. If you would take camo over a $50 jersey, a tricked out Tippmann over a high-end gun, an old fallen log over an inflatiable bunker or if you just love the shear thrill you recieve when you are stairing through that foggy mask lense waiting for your opponent to snap a twig and give themselves away, this is the place for you.
If you would like to join, just post here and give a short statement on why you love woodsball.
Oh, on a side note, I know woodsball isn't everyone's thing, so if it isn't yours, keep that to yourself. Don't try to flame us just because we don't like the same kind of paintball as you do, or for anything else for that matter.

We have a rule where we play woodsball -- there's no crying in paintball. We act like gentlemen, we play honest and fair, and treat our markers better than we treat our wives (no throwing them in the dirt when we lose).
There's great camaraderie, we use actual tactics instead of hosing three square feet of space with hundreds of paintballs, and new players are actually *encouraged* to join and learn instead of being targets to feed our egos.
There's the thrill of the unknown when moving through heavy cover, and the feeling of elation and accomplishment when your last 10 minutes of low-crawling through bushes lets you get the drop on a half-dozen of your opponents.

We are having a huge meet the 6th, I can't decide what games we should play. What are your favorite games to play in the woods?

I definitely agree with MrLuckyPants... I like the strategies and tactics that you use in woodsball, and the idea of having to run for 10 min to reach the other side of the field instead of 10 secs. I prefer the cover of leaves and branches than an inflated bunker.
Luckily we have our own little plot of land to play on so we can play for as long as we want... When you get hit just sit out for 5 and jump right back in. Makes the game alot more exciting because then you can't just sit back and pick each player off till they are all out. You have to actually use strategy and know that you only have 5 min because those last 3 guys that went out are coming back!!

There's nothing better than ripping your way through the nastiest brush that no one else wants any part of in order to flank the other team.. or the feeling of a perfectly planned and executed ambush. There's just something about being perfectly camo'd and hidden and watching the other team walk past you never seeing you, then ambushing them...

I guess you can count me in too.
My personal favorite part is playing renegade and finding new places to play. Nothing like running across an old run down factory building in the woods for the first time.

Hey you all, if you have the room in your siggys, start putting you ~~Woodsballers Anonymous~~ numbers in them to promote us.
I think watching your opponent fall into your perfectly planned ambush if one of the best felings in the world, lol.

"tricked out tippmann".. You do know that any gun will do in woodsball. A dust olive DM5 will perform better then a tippmann with $500 of parts that "claim" to work.

you newbies woodsball sux0rz, sp33dball 4eva!!
not.
I enjoy both. Our newest project at this plot of land is a lot more woodsball (well as close to real woodsball as we can get in our area) and it's gonna be friggin sweet once we get it all set up (if we ever get off our *****). I like speedsball for how close and intense and fast it is but i love the atmosphere of woodsball. I'll join i guess.

Ok. We are lucky enough that our local field has a few woodsball fileds we play on, so we don't have to look hard for places to play or make out own fields.

i love both woods ball and speed ball but 3 out of the 4 fields where i play are wood. its a huge adrenaline rush when u know that u have the other team cornered or out numbered. i do find it more enjoying than speed ball. and i get to put on all of my camo. (i have way too much but just different combos to try out)
