I have a soft spot for "Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus"

I gotta admit, the Harry Potter books are pretty awesome. I'm 19, and I finally decided to read them over the last couple weeks, and I gotta say, I truly am impressed. The books just got better and better, man.

Getting ready to finish it, couldn't agree more. I also finished The Fountainhead at work last week, good book as well.

Was just about to suggest them.
I've read all his books. One of my favorite authors.

Really? Although I admit that I found Faith of the Fallen to be one of the better of the last six or so of the series, I enjoyed Temple of the Winds much more. From Soul of the Fire pretty much right through Confessor, the series started to grow stale, right until the last book when it took a sudden and lazy rush. Almost as if Goodkind just realized he worked himself into a corner and came up with a very weak conclusion to be done with it.

He still told some good stories, and he managed to put a lot of depth into his characters. In fact, until I started reading Steven Erikson, it was my favorite fantasy series.
