I'd really consider getting an etek 3 or an Etha, or for that price you can get an ego 8, DM8, or AXE. I'd consider all of those before the above listed, for a much newer gun at a fair price.

Edit* newer technology at a cheaper price really. ^

Dm6 with green lasers, CP plug, Cp on/off, Complete Freak barrel kit. with an empire prophecy. $400

PM8:
Basically stock, with the exception of an upgraded bolt. $300
The dm6 is overpriced, could get an m9 for that much...
The pm8 is decently priced, not too bad but you could find one for 275 and under if you looked around long enough.

etha or proto with deal

Looking at an 09 pmr online with tank + rotor for 375 ATM
But was wondering pmr or etha and then build a setup around the etha. This would be a start up marker for the gf and/or a back up for me.
There is also a pm 7 full set up for 450, rotor 68/45 ninja tanks, barrels, mask

Main question is would an etha be better than those to build around?

I've heard the pm9 shoots similarly to the dm9, but I don't know for myself. I've shot the etha and it shoots great, you won't go wrong with it.

Currently have a Spyder Imagine, but sort of feel like finding something nicer without breaking the budget.

What would be the best used option for around $100-$150? Mayyyyybe $200.

Have not played paintball in about 10ish years and looking to get back into it. I still have my old Tippman 98 but was lookong to get an electornic gun (don't know much about them). I have around $800 to spend on a gun, tank, hopper and mask (used on here is fine) and would like something that could last a few years and I won't have to replace so soon. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks fellas

Looking for best paintball gun for $350 or less. I am open to used but been a while since I was in the market for a gun. This will be for my son so easy maintenance is biggest selling point. Next would be accuracy. I have been looking at the mini and dangerous G4 marker. I liked the mini due to size since he is only 11 his hands arent that big yet.

Also I am thinking of using a 48/3000 tank I believe is size to keep costs down initially and get him a better tank later like christmas. Looking for opinions on that as well.

Thank you for taking the time to help with this.

Also I am new to forum so pm may not work yet.

nquinn: If you already have compressed air, then an invert mini or GOG xtcy would be good choices to look into.

Toneloc498: Plan on spending 200 for a tank and hopper (estimate). I would suggest buying the mask new, so to be safe, that is another 100. That leaves you 500 for a gun. You could get an axe, reflex, drone, or Etek Lt all new. If you went used, you could get an older high end like an ego8-9, Dm7-9, Cyborg RX, Droid, Geo+, BL Intimidator, Vice, or marq. Avoid the Dye NT.

Krankydad" For around 350, I would get your son an Ego7. We got my little cousin one for the exact same reason (easy to work on and reliable). Accuracy will be based on the quality of paint you use and how well you bore the paint to the barrel (if the paint is boring at .864, then a .688 barrel will be more accurate than a.693). My cousin is also 11. For the tank, I would suggest getting the better tank earlier. It will be cheaper in the long run. Also, the 48/3000 tanks are aluminum and can be considerably heavier compared to the fiber tanks. I would suggest a 50/4500 stubby tank (what my cousin uses and it works great for him. Nice and lightweight and give him plenty of air for games). I am personal to the Ninja tanks because their reg quality is the best and their customer service is top notch.

Thanks Monkey - those were actually the top 2 I was looking at.

If I'm not too terribly concerned with rate of fire, what do you think the main differences will be between the Imagine and these other guns?

Also, which is the more quiet of the 2?

What about a BRAND NEW Empire Axe or a BRAND NEW Etek 4 lt (if you can't say, just compare with a etek 3)

Speeball.

you dont need to buy a 1,000 dollar gun to beat other people, i had a mini for awhile and i beat people that were d2 and had ego 11's so it's all about the skill. 20% gun and gear and 80% physical and mental. I suggest buying a mini at a decent price and upgrading you're other gear-Tanks, hopper, jerseys etc. a mini is probably the best marker for a low price range becides the planet eclipse etha. You can get it 90 cheaper on their website

Now for more high end question.

DLX 2.0 vs Machine Vapor and why

I had my heart set on a new DLX 2.0 for many various reasons. Then ran across the Machine Vapor. Due to how new it is I cannot find a lot of info supporting spending that kind of money on a newer gun. In fact one of the reasons around the DLX 2.0 is that it has had the time to go through the needed upgrades and improvements perfecting its design.

now lets take a moment out and hear from our sponsors on which is the best gun for the money and why?

That would be you the nation.
