waterdude - yes the PR/staple mods does but not the resistor PR mod, the RPR mod is just like the stock resistor on the board only a lower voltage so you will get more speed with out frying your board.

prem205 - I did a lil test with the HD2 and PD motors. Rec volts you should use HD2 2.3V PD 2.3V. I ran both motors at 18 volts just to see how they would hold up to very very hi voltages. HD2 lasted 3 min before one of the brushes burnt off. PD lasted a lil over 10 min and then the bearing froze. So from what I have been doing with these motors the PD is by far the better motor. As for BPS diff its about 1 or 2.

DrHeLpErZx - screw the speedwhell and go power dash motor then yes but why? I have my halos working off of consistence rather then speed. both of them drop at about 30 -32 with the same speed. I have maxed guns out with them and no gaps or other issues. so I would go with PD motor bone delrin cone and a v35 if you want.

hipertec - the spring under the sone helps alot, its so that the balls are fed at a consistent rate. the spring in the cup is to help stop jamming(got me how)

xmc1146 - PD's and xmods ae abut the same but what he was saying is that some xmods motor dont wokr as well as other I think. all I know is that the yellow xmods and the PD are about the same.

Hay M_dogg could it be from the power wires from the battery being pinched ? I got the Halo used and the guy who owned it pinched them while installing a new shell or something . I'm thinking maybe it's not getting the full current from the battery pack?

Vegeta_ss4 - yea that owuld do it. you can do one of 3 things, #1 take the harness and cut it about 1/2" from the connector and solder on new wires and 9V connector. #2 cut the pinched parts off and solder new peices of wire in there. and #3 buy a new harness.

ok i played 2006 chicago and after the event i didnt even touch my halo. everything worked fine up until the last game. it has a victory board. i went to go play last weekend and it wouldnt turn on. i knew the batteries would be dead so i changed the batteries. after changing the batteries the halo still wouldn't work. to make sure it was the batteries, i took a battery pack from my brothers hopper and plugged it on my hopper and it worked. i plugged my battery back in and it didnt. i put new batteries in so i dunno whats going on.... could it be the battery pack?? like i dont see what could be wrong it worked at chicago and i never touched it and now it doesnt work.... any help is appreciated.

Is it the stock black AA clip that you install AAs into?

Try gently pushing the larger female terminals with slits back to gether on both your pack and Halo as they sometimes spread out and loose connection.

If that doesn't work, then you may have a bad clip as things do wear out.

my guess is hd2 has low torque so speed wheel puts more rpm but also takes the torque out. halo or any loaders needs torque to push the balls around to feed. its like a bicycle going up hill. you switch it to a big gear and you keep peddling fast but actually your moving slow.

1stezekiel - well there are 2 things why it sucks #1 what xmc1146 said and you jam at 8.5V, #2 it has bad tendency to fri your board due to the fact that the motor is just asking for to much amps out of the board. Just so you know:
Halo board = 1 amp MAX
HD2 = 2 amp max
and PD motor = 2.5 amp max
so the motor is asking for far to many amps then the board will kick out.
