Hey everyone, just played for the first time at SC village.. loved every minute of it. In search to buy my own gun. A store near my place is selling the following :

Gun- DP G3-IQ (used, but with life time warranty from store)
Hopper- Halo B (used)
Tank- 48/3000 (not sure the brand)
NXE 4 +1 with 4 pods 140 capacity

For $350 Is this a good deal?

- You could probably get it for cheaper than $300 with some negotiation. It's a good gun, but I'd aim for Ego7's and higher. You could maybe find a Ego7 for roughly $350+ (I havent checked the prices on older Ego's so these are ROUGH estimates)

It is an older gun but also look to see what upgrades have been put on it. Also read reviews to see what people have upgraded in the past. For example, if everyone thought the bolt was terrible that year, make sure the one you get has an upgraded bolt (not a replacement, but a better one). For used guns, condition and upgrades are really what matter.

other than the gun i would say you should be good for a while i still use my VL jr in xpsl and i mean that tank will work to one you start playing mote speed ball games you mite want to go with a bigger, smaller, lighter tank depending on what you play.

Glad you had a good time. As for the setup, you could get a G3-IQ on here for 180, a used halo for 35, a tank like that one new for 50-60, and a pod pack for 25. All together, about 300. The life time warranty is a good thing to have, just keep you reciept in a safe place and do it. Support your local store. Make sure you get a good mask too. BTW, which store is this?

Eh, it's ok. It is a standard starter set, but it will get you going and gives you everything you need.

For rec ball, this setup is ok. If you are going to start playing tournament, I would suggest getting a different hopper over the Extreme Rage one and getting a new barrel for you 2011 PMR. The stock barrels aren't what you will want. I would suggest a Custom Products 14 in .689 bore 1 piece classic barrel. They are inexpensive, great in quality, and have been a top name in paintball since the beginning of time.

Different barrels have different prices. They also have different threading for different guns. If you are looking for a barrel, I would suggest making a Want To Buy thread in the BST section. Say in the title that yu want to buy a barrel for your gun, give the name of the gun that you have, and say how much you want to spend. People will bring you offers and you can decide if you want to accept or not. You can also look in the BST under the section that says Barrels and see if you find one that you like. If you aren't sure about barrels, some good companies to look at are Custom Products (CP. I would recommend these), Dye, Freak, Sly, Stiffi, Furious.
