Players "cheat" because there is a lot at stake. A good amount of cash, bragging rights, etc. It's the refs job to call out players, they need to be visually aware of where each player is on the field. Pros do it all the time because of how much is at stake. Pros also get caught cheating too.

So you're comparing cheating in a game, to rape and stealing? That's a huge gap in social integrity. Your theory on cheating is flawed and you should feel stupid. Cheating in games such as holding in football or flopping in basketball/soccer gives a team an upper advantage for either a big play or more points. It also can result in a penalty. Comparing a rule in a game and a law in society isn't comparable.

I simply brought it up because being a professional in anything is much more than being great at the task you've set out to do. You must be a professional in everything you do. Intentionally wiping a shot when you know you're elminated isn't professional.
