I think this is good for Ego 05 simply because their resale will go up...it has been said that the ego 05 is better than the E-tek...so it should boost them up as well as boost the 06s

dude this seems exactly same as any other ego. i donno why its cheaper. and its lower operating pressure than 05. and smaller bolt. man.... weird

this dosent even have QEV's wich is kinda a big thing

According to the manual that I just downloaded, the noid connects to a manifold design.. This negates the need for a qev because the air doesn't need to travel hardly any distance to get back the noid to drain.

It has been stated..many time... qev's don't make a big difference 1-2bps you won't notice or never hit...

its cheaper because planet made the body design simpler and cheaper, took out the LCD in favor of an LED system, took out the optical trigger switch and put in a microswitch, and removed the QEV's. I'm fine with all the downgrades except if the Etek is going to lose efficiency over the loss of the QEV's. Sure you may lose 1-3bps but who really cares?! We have no word as of yet wether or not the lower operating psi will result in greater efficiency. My guess would be that the Etek will have around the same efficiency or slightly lower (due to the enlarged valve), but probably have less kick and noise due the the fact that the QEVs would not be throwing the ram as hard and the lower operating psi would in theory make the gun quieter. It should be a solid marker, I just hope it still shoots and feels like an ego. Just my .02, feel free to add or correct if im wrong.

Coming from someone who has never used an Etek.

I dont like when people talk without having experience with it first. I think it looks like a solid gun and I might just start saving for it now.

well said. I don't mind losing the QEV, its a small performance boost, and i'd rather save the extra couple of hundreds for some paint. Plus doesn't the specs talk about new direct porting, so QEVs wouldn't be needed as much? Hopefully it's have less kick and pop (noise). I'm fine about the efficiency thing, i mean the ego6 is f***ing amazing with efficiency and from the specs, it shouldnt change that much. And there probably will be efficiency upgrades later, plus, how hard is it to get your tank filled before a match?
