I hate to be the one to say this, but this is NOT new at CFPS events. It happens at damn near all of them, which is a shame because I don't think there's a better tournament series in Florida. Since so many people are coming from different parts of the state, nobody really knows more than a handful of players/teams out there. If someone is walking by a gearbag and picks up a mask and a case of paint, you have no idea if that's his or not because you don't know who the hell they are.
I told the guys I was playing with before the event that there would be people with "sticky fingers" before hand so he threw up a tent and we made sure to have someone watching our gear at all times. There's really not much you can do but keep anything of value either close by or locked in your car.
Don't let this keep you away from the events, just make sure to be careful with your gear when you get there. All it takes is one or two losers to ruin a great event for everyone.
