Ya, but not too many good ones - low rise, lever locking. I guess I'm kind of picky, so the good ones are worth mentioning. There are a lot of crappy Ion feednecks out there. Even the CP feednecks are a bit flimsy.

Great idea; however, this is a Mini upgrade list, not maintenance thread. Maybe this could be posted in the "How To Fix your Mini" thread?

I'll take it into consideration. In your opinion, what makes that specific feedneck better than the others?

Well not really, HOW to lube the mini would be fit for a how to fix your mini thread. WHAT kind of lube to use, its similar to a question like what trigger should I get?
I know your probably exhausted from writing all this but it may be a nice addition in the near future you can make. Hater Sauce, PE Grease, Lurker Lube, SLEEK, DOW 33, and a few others just to name some. Some people prefer certain kinds so maybe even people will chime in here and say what lube they use and why?
Just add the remarks to the first post

That's a great idea! Can you guys post up with what types of lube you use/why? I've only ever used the stock lube/Dow 33 so I wouldn't know the pros/cons of the other options.

Incognito, you should take my information about feedneck heights from:
https://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...781984&page=10
So if people have any questions about sizing they can access it in this thread.
Most of it is on page 10!

I ordered a tube of Sleek from ANS the other day (via the Boss's suggestion), I'll post up when I receive it and get a chance to try it out.

From my personal experience, I would recommend avoiding Hater Marmalade in the Mini. Marmalade was formulated for use with spool valve guns and is pretty thick. I used it in my Mini for a while after I sold my Ions (I originally bought it for my Ions). I noticed my bolt didn't slide as buttery smooth as using regular Dow 33, instead it was was like sliding the bolt along molasses. It didn't really glide along the bolt guide, it needed a little push to get the bolt moving. It is really thick, crazy thick. It does give a good visible coat so you can see exactly where you are putting it, and it doesn't smell. The best thing about it is, once it's on, it doesn't move. No running, no nothing. It stays exactly where you put it, but it's just really thick. A little bit went a long way in my Ion, but I just couldn't seem to get the amount right for my Mini. Perhaps I was over lubing, I'm not sure. I may go back and test it out more somewhere along the line.
In comparison, after I bought TechT lube and put it on my bolt assembly, I had to drop my input by about 10 psi to chrono below my field limit. The TechT lube was sick, really slick, but it reeked. It smells like straight petroleum. I hated it. I've done everything I can, and still can't seem to get the odor out of my gun, but I can't complain about it's lubrication abilities. It's slick, stays where you put it, and a little bit goes a very, very long way.
I just recently bought some sleek from ANS. I saw that Empire now directly sells it from their sight, and I figured if the manufacturer sells it, can't be a bad idea to use it in my gun. I will post up how it works out when I get a chance to get to the field and test it out.

I bought my grips from this site: http://paintballgateway.com/eminmigr.html They have a greater selection of grips than on ansgear.com
Also:
I currently use monkey poo lube on my mini! Smells like banana popsicles!!!!!!!! I'd add it to the list

I tried some fluoroelastomer thickened lubes when I was testing various components for lubes, they're really pretty good but I noted the smell. I feel more comfortable selling something less toxic (smelling, at least, i don't want to speculate) and undetectable for warranty purposes.

You should add at the beginning of the lube section that the mini/axe uses dow33 lube, or dow33 based lubes. You should add lurker lube as well, awesome stuff, stays on the parts and is a bit slicker than plain dow33.
awesome write up man

This thread is is becoming better and better every time I check in.
How about a general maintenance area? How and what to lube, oil the reg, and disassembly.
Link to the axe manual and boards? Customer service numbers and emails?

Thanks man. I was working on a maintenance thread a while ago, never really turned into anything. seemed unnecessary.
I'll link the phone #'s and manuals tonight.

Great idea.
For the disassembly part, I'd definitely post a link to Simon's Axe disassembly video. I've already said that I use that video literally EVERY time I'm disassembling anything on my Axe that I haven't before. Very helpful.

All those things are in the mega sticky, but they are quite dated, and some are missing pics. Since this is an upgrade sticky, it might be too much to have all those other things, but a link to kee's contact info and the other maintenance threads wouldn't hurt.

I agree with Teahouser! There's already becoming an overwhelming amount of info on this thread. For newer members this should be great, but we need to be careful not to put too much in this single thread, that it loses its effectiveness and original purpose: for people looking for upgrades.

I was thinking the same thing.
We could all create a "How to Clean Your Invert Mini" thread if you guys are interested. I already have all the steps written out, just need someone to take the pics. If you're interested, PM me.

Why are the virtue eyes one of the first things most users upgrade? I have an Axe so I'm considering this. I've heard that the microswitch is much lighter creating a better trigger pull. But is there an actual operating advantage over the stock eyes? Are there any issues with the stock eyes?
