Old Indian Creek Pods Too Big? Or Harness too small?
Hey guys! So, I'm still getting the kinks out of getting back into the game after over a decade. When purchasing gear, I purchased a $5 GENX 4+1 from ANSgear thinking, "Whatever, it will be just like my old ViewLoader 4+1," which was a Wal-Mart special back when everyone started paintball because of Wal-Mart's displays of Brass Eagle Talons, Stingrays and Raptors(yes, I owned every one and still have a Raptor somewhere). Well, after getting it and playing a couple times, I realize now that the size and shape of pods has greatly changed. The diameter of my old Indian Creek SuperTube is WAAAY bigger(like maybe 1/5"), than these NXE tube that came with a bundle of stuff I got for my GF off craigslist and I see these things all over the field so I assume that all new pods look like this. Needless to say, my old pods barely fit in this harness, the new style pods fit slightly loosely. So I'm fine with the lame 4+1 for now if I can just get pods to go in and out without getting stuck or refusing to go in. My hopes are that I can just order some pods and keep using my 4+1 for a few more months. But I'm worried I'll buy a bunch of new pods only to find that they are the old non-tapered fat ones that I already have. Any advice?
