Think I am leaning towards the 265s. How fun!

Id go as low as 245 and and high as 265, is not going to make a huge difference as long as it fits right on the rims, just go for whatever is cheaper

245 would be too much stretch I think. My friend has 255s on a 10 inch wheel and they look reasonably stretched. Its 255 or 265. The 265s are a shade taller. 265/35/19 would be just over half an inch taller than what I have now. I think that might actually be perfect.

Next item is to choose the scope of the brake work. I know front rotors and pads need to be done soon, just not sure what all I want to upgrade while I am at it.

yeah then just go with 255 or 265 then probably not enough of a price difference between the two

Thats most likely from the bumper not sitting in a plastic lip attached to the rear of the car. It kinda locks in place when the bumper is put on. My GTI had that same issue too when I kinda bumped a wall, lol. Then I replaced the cover with a Thunderbunny bumper and noticed how it came off and the new one went on what the issue was.

Was at dealer today to get a CEL for EVAP system fixed under warranty. I say no ECU flash; SA asks me if I'm tuned and I say yes.

Get a call a few hours later. Turns out there's a TSB for the CEL. It's simply a software issue and can be fixed with an update. SA tells me that in order to perform the update, ECU would be hooked up to send info to Audi. Suggests I flash back to stock so I don't end up getting screwed and having to pay for it. That's why I ask for him to be my SA.

However, what the eff? No TSBs for TD1 cars? I was under the impression that TSBs were essentially "recalls" in a sense and when symptoms are exhibited, they are applied. I think my SA didn't want my car to be flagged for TD1 but he made it sound like AOA would deny warranty application of the TSB unless my car was stock.

I might have to contact AOA about this. Only 3 months left on my warranty, a known problem with a simple fix, and I'm having to jump through hoops to get a software update.

Why would you call AOA? It would likely only serve to get your SA in trouble when he seems to be trying to help.

Not going to mention dealer, SA, etc.

Going to ask if TSBs are applicable when a car has obtained TD1 status.

Would never bring that stuff up. I am not a narc.

He's just looking out for you cuz when the car is hooked up to VAS (scan tool) and is put through SVM update it scans all of your modules for the software version and coding (aka vagcom changes). You can deny the Vagcom coding and it won't affect anything, but the software versions are recorded and stored on Audi servers. Your car will get updated for the EVAP TSB under warranty (TSB repairs are only covered for free under warranty, you have to pay once out of warranty), but if Audi sees a discrepancy in the record for your cars sw versions when it was updated they can retroactively back-charge the dealership and deny payout for the warranty work (parts, labor, etc). Plus, your car is then TD1 status, which can and will affect any possible future warranty extensions, etc.

The same is also true about storing software version information when the tech is performing Guided Fault Finding. It scans all the modules and presents which ones have faults present. If any warranty work was performed, in order for the Dealership to get reimbursed, a record of the faults and then solution must be retained from the scan tool (printed or uploaded to Audi). That record too has a corresponding list of software versions for each module and will get flagged in a heartbeat if there is any discrepancies.

Audi has gotten good at this ****. Now, I dunno how good tuners are getting at hiding their changes within the modules to avoid detection, but the means of detection are everywhere.
