I'd never get ceramics if I could avoid it, and if I did at all, I'd only do it on a car that doesn't get driven more than a few thousand miles a year. Or i guess you could just replace them with regular brakes when they wear out. Full BBK is probably cheaper than the brake job. There is a challenge stradale around here with the Brembo GTR brake kit on it (which I believe is north of $10000) because its far cheaper to run that on a car that sees track duty than the ceramics.

Parts are about $12k. $5k a rotor, lol. But they will last at least more than half the life of the vehicle. But, atleast OEM there is no steel replacement because the Ceramic option is an even bigger set-up than just the steels. I'm sure you could find an aftermarket size that would match.
I'm not sure why they are putting these things onto fairly average street cars. By fairly average I mean not an exotic. Even on a $100k car, brakes that cost $10k to replace is obscene. Especially since by the time they need replaced, the car will be worth a whole lot less. They are supposed to be so good on the track, but only race teams can really afford to run them on the track because of the replacement costs.

Audi is killing it lately. When I'm rich I'd daily the hell out of an S6/S7/S8. Though when said winning lottery ticket comes in I will have to buy another E60 M5 too and build it the way I wanted. Unrealized dreams 2010 space grey/black/aluminum, smg, 20'' brushed P40s, brembo 405mm BBK, KW coilovers, Tubi exhaust, Hartge wheel. Oh, and stroker motor.

I thought I read before that the B8 wagon bumper could fit on the sedan. I thought the A4 guys used the wagon bumper with dual exhaust cutouts to add dual exhaust to their car?
I'm not one for plastidipping entire cars... I would really only use it on small trim pieces but damn... this looks sick.
