Anyone have idea how many different teams you end up playing the race to format with on a typical day? How does playoffs usually work as well? Top 4 teams top team for each bracket (if there are brackets) etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

No, only D5 and lower ranks are allowed in 3-man. This is from The NEPL website,

"D5 THREE Man teams are allowed to roster up to 5 players. ALL Players must be ranked APPA D5 or lower."

Raceto2 NEPL you will play four other teams best 2 out of 3. Playoff is based on number of team, most events last season they took 8 but gave the top two teams a bye for the first round.

Question: can any team register for a D4 NEXL or NEPL event or does your team have to roster D4 players?

Any team can register for an event so long as your roster complies with NXL roster rules. You could register a group of D5/unranked players if you wanted. They dropped the franchise requirements for NEXL this season.
